Freelance Senior UX Designer

We're looking for an experienced senior UX product designer who relishes designing complex tools and platforms. You champion the user’s voice and are confident mapping and optimising end-to-end journeys through a complex ecosystem of products. You value user research and have a tool kit of research methods and techniques to uncover insights and test design concepts/prototypes. This project will involve a high level of client stakeholder interaction, so clear communication skills are critical.

Starting ASAP until 14th April initially with a view to extension. 

Outside IR35

Location

This role is expected to be fully remote, UK or CET or EET time zones.

Key Skills 

Design & Requirements

  • Strong UX skills a must - including creating new IAs, experience blueprints and end-to-end flows
  • Demonstrate the ability to think at a high-level, across the product ecosystem, not just at a feature level
  • Comfortable working with user archetypes and contributing to their creation
  • Able to distil complex requirements into robust prototypes and flows a must
  • Expertise in transforming complex challenges into easy to understand patterns
  • Confident working in Figma
  • Must have web experience, ideally some experience with platforms or dashboards
  • Comfortable working and contributing to design systems
  • Experienced in user research and usability testing
  • Organised and self-motivated and comfortable working independently 
  • Visualising and prototyping concepts to varying levels of fidelity to demonstrate and validate ideas

Working practices

  • Experience working within an Agile process
  • Working with a cross discipline team of designers, developers and product managers to ensure delivery of high-quality products on time and on budget
  • Understand and where appropriate challenge business requirements to champion user needs in accordance with product and market strategy
  • Maintain awareness and mitigation of project risk
  • Engage clients and stakeholders in design solutions that fit their needs
  • Understand clients’ design needs and work within those constraints
  • Communicate design specifications with other designers and developers
  • Clearly present various stages of interface design development, concepts and ideas to business owners, team members and stakeholders of all levels
  • The ability to deal with pressure and can work in a fast-paced environment
