Senior UX Designer - Design Systems

Location Details:

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely. This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

Join our global design team as a Senior UX / UI designer and take a key role in devising and evolving a multi-brand design system. You'll work on the Design Foundations Team at GoDaddy. Our company has a strong design culture with a community of 100+ UX/UI Designers who will consume the system that you'll be crafting. You will excel in this role if you're a systematic thinker, and a designer who enjoys technical challenges and problem solving.

What you'll get to do...

• You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing and prototyping of our design system features, UI components, UI patterns – always with a systematic mentality.
• You will also be involved in crafting internal tooling and Figma libraries.
• You will produce rational design work with an excellent understanding of visual design, usability and development — proactively identify areas of improvement, concepting potential roadmaps, and work-shopping ideas with team members and collaborators alike.
• You will build prototypes and carry out usability testing, to provide insight and evidence for your projects.

Your experience should include...

• 3+ years of system design experience
• Strong proficiency with Figma
• Ability to code
• Prototyping with HTML5, CSS and JS
• Crafting responsive page layouts
• Crafting various UX deliverables, such as flow diagrams
• Adobe Creative Suite, i.e., Photoshop / Illustrator
• Ability to demonstrate outstanding attention to detail — visual design of the highest quality throughout all project phases.
• Being confident in articulating design judgments, while understanding broader team goals.
• Strong understanding of value and the process of working with a design system and can work happily with predefined design patterns to meet business objectives.
• Having a logical and proficient attitude towards your work, thinking laterally to provide solutions that meet the needs of partners while maintaining design integrity.
• Think systematically and seek outside-of-the-box solutions to solve problems — therefore, you are someone who has an active interest in the code that renders your UI design.
• You are as excited to build beautiful-looking designs as you are to create inventive features that enable theme customization while upholding consistency.

• Illustration

• Image compositing
