Senior UX Designer, Consumer

We are looking for a UX designer to join us on our mission to make it incredibly easy to discover and get the best restaurants, grocery stores and other local shops delivered to your home or office. You'll be working on super interesting and complex projects to improve and develop the search experience for consumer products. You’ll be part of the Consumer design team, and work closely with our Search product team 🔎

Search is a key part of the shopping experience. We are building a holistic search experience across the whole consumer journey that allows our user to find the items that they are after. The experience caters to various use cases and shopping patterns across multiple product verticals such as restaurant food, grocery, and other retail. Relevancy is key in search, hence being analytical and fluent with data is important for this role.

The essence of this position is that as a UX designer you:

• Will be responsible for designing the world's best search experience in Wolt consumer apps (both mobile and web )
• Work closely with our Consumer teams around the world, and data analyst to identify top priority search issues from the millions of tickets, delve deep into the customer problems, and design solutions to streamline and automate them
• Collaborate with a UI Designer to ship production-ready designs, and sync your thoughts with our Consumer design team

You'll be paired with a talented Product designer, forming a dynamic duo. You’ll frame user needs and behavior and define optimized user flows. You'll be developing wireframes and prototypes, and all the time gathering feedback from the users and other stakeholders, through interviews and usability testing - in order to find creative ways to solve UX problems. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary product management, design, data, and engineering team to deliver thoughtful and polished design work that is grounded in solid research and validation. The platforms you'll design for are web and mobile products, so experience working with both is appreciated.

This role can be based in one of our tech hubs in Helsinki or Berlin, or you can work remotely anywhere in Finland, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, and Estonia. Read more about our remote set-up here.

• Prior experience in UX Design for digital products, ideally consumer facing, web and mobile platforms
• Stellar CX portfolio
• Both qualitative and quantitative research experience in order to be able to also independently plan and execute user research when needed, or in cooperation with our UX Researcher
• Analytical mindset and problem solving attitude
• Experience working on Search products is considered a plus
