Outside IR35

Duration: Start ASAP until end of June initially with the view to extension. 

THE ROLE

We are looking for a UX writer to join an existing product team working with a large energy company in North America to design and build a digital product that will allow customers to manage their energy account online. 

As the sole writer within the team, you would take a lead role in bringing a more customer friendly and empathetic tone-of-voice to the digital experience. Alongside this you will also be required to:

• Provide decision-making clarity to actionable text
• Create consistency rules for written language in digital
• Ensure that language is written in an accessible and inclusive manner

• Experience writing for North American audience in American English language.

• Experience working within a highly regulated industry such as utility.

REQUIREMENTS

• You have a core strength in leading copy within an end-to-end product design process.
• Ability to think critically whilst continuing to collaborate
• Proactive nature, strong attention to detail and high standards of grammar
• Experience in collaborating within multidisciplinary teams of designers, developers and product managers
• Deep empathy and an ability to think like a user
• Experienced at working within Agile/SCRUM/Kanban processes
• Tools agnostic mindset focused on outcomes not outputs
• You can think big whilst being detail oriented and delivery focused
• You are an excellent communicator, capable of inspiring colleagues and clients
• Provide timely feedback from your team to benefit project development and working culture and encourage the same in return
• Always eager to learn and to share knowledge
• Adaptable style. You know when to coach, direct and motivate.
• Strong knowledge of writing for SEO and accessibility standards
