What’s the role?
We’re looking for a Senior UX Researcher, preferably with some ads product experience, to support our ads buyer and seller experience. As a two sided marketplace we design and build the tools to help our sellers be as successful in their business as possible. A key component of running an Etsy shop is using our ads platform. Etsy Ads is used by our smallest and largest sellers to grow their businesses, and it is one of our major revenue streams. You’ll be leading research focused on identifying buyer and seller opportunities across our advertising ecosystem. This may include: understanding our sellers' individual goals and how to help them meet them, and ensuring that buyers are seeing appropriate ads while shopping.
As a Senior UX Researcher on Etsy’s Product Research team, you will work in partnership with product managers, designers, engineers, and alongside other researchers and data scientists to deliver insights that will craft the future of human commerce on Etsy.
You know how to conduct professional-quality user experience research, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative methods. You work well with others, and have proven instincts about when to hold the line on methodological rigor, and when to adapt to the changing demands of a project. Most importantly, you approach your work with a genuine sense of curiosity and empathy, and you’re willing to challenge conventional wisdom to find the right answer!
