We are seeking a talented Designer to join our Technology team. Qualified candidates will be strategic, empathetic thinkers that can contribute to the overall product design process through concept, design, development and delivery of compelling UI visuals.
You will be responsible for building excellent end user experiences for some of the Technology team’s digital products and user interfaces, and will collaborate closely with other Designers, Product Managers and Developers in your day to day work.
Responsibilities:
- Empathise with end users to understand their goals, needs and pains
- Design customer journey maps, user stories and usage scenarios of products and services to discover and define user tasks, pain points and opportunities.
- Work collaboratively to develop scalable design systems that meet product and business goals.
- Collaborate with the team to understand challenges, identify opportunities and measure impact.
- Use your creative skills to create sketches, visual references, storyboards, prototypes, and/or design specs to guide development of product experiences.
- Help prepare, structure and run user testing sessions in order to help identify usability problems so we can improve all aspects of the experience.
- You’ll work closely with other designers, and Product Managers to align on goals, priorities, direction and feedback.
- Document pattern libraries and style guides, updating as we evolve.
Expertise:
- 5 years + experience in designing user interfaces for products and services in design studios, product or service companies.
- 3 years + of work in organisations and projects with agile development methodologies, with geographically distributed and multilingual teams.
- Expertise in design principles and strong understanding of UX and UI design, information hierarchy, user flow, and typography.
- Outstanding portfolio of work that shows strong user-centered and visual design capabilities across a range of different projects.
- Advanced prototyping skills and experience using Figma.
- Experience in translating user research and usability test findings into iterative product solutions.
- Some experience in designing complex, data-heavy or technically oriented products;
- Spoken English.
