Deel is looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join the Knowledge Team to build out our documentation and for Strategic Integrations.
The Knowledge Team manages and scales information and expertise about Deel products and services across the organization for internal and external audiences.
You’ll have the opportunity to work with other writers and subject matter experts from our Strategic Integrations team to craft content that supports this critical business pillar at Deel.
Content Creation & Strategy
Create clear, actionable technical documentation for APIs, integrations, and developer workflows
Build and maintain a comprehensive product knowledge base that scales expertise across the organization
Design information architecture for integration-related content and populate with practical guides
Develop content strategies and templates that accelerate content creation from ideation to publication
Cross-Functional Partnership
Partner with subject matter experts, product teams, and engineering to gather and validate technical information
Support product and enablement teams with timely release notes, updates, and in-app content
Audit and maintain existing documentation to improve clarity, accuracy, and user experience
Establish and iterate on style guidelines and processes to ensure content consistency
Strategic Impact
Use data and feedback to identify content gaps, measure impact, and drive continuous improvement
Share expertise on content best practices to enable functional teams to create their own documentation
Become a Deel product expert to craft localized, culturally-aware content for our global audience
Drive documentation initiatives that directly reduce support volume and improve user success
Essential Requirements
Proven senior-level technical writing experience at fast-paced, high-growth tech companies
A portfolio or work samples demonstrating API documentation, integration guides, and developer-focused content
Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable content for diverse audiences
Experience with modern documentation tools and workflows (Confluence, Jira, Figma, Markdown, GitHub, docs-as-code)
Excellent written and verbal English communication with rigorous attention to detail
Preferred Experience
Technical writing for SaaS or Fintech companies
Building documentation for APIs and third-party integrations
Working in hyper-growth startup environments
Collaborating with remote, distributed teams
Creating content for global, cross-cultural audiences
