About the Role
At Fivetran, documentation is a critical part of our product. As a Senior Technical Writer, you will shape internal knowledge management within the product department and contribute to external documentation. Your work will directly influence our information architecture strategy and ensure that our teams and customers have the information they need to succeed.
You’ll collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, support teams, and fellow technical writers to create and maintain exceptional documentation that drives efficiency and understanding across the organization.
This is a full-time position based out of our Novi Sad office.

What You’ll Do
- Organize the product department’s knowledge base and take responsibility for its quality
- Write clear, concise, and technically accurate documentation for internal and external audiences
- Edit and proofread documents written by others and coach non-writers on ways to improve their writing skills
- Develop guidelines and templates to enable product team members to create consistent documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve documentation processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and collaboration
- Prepare and present department training sessions
- Manage complex projects, ensuring timely delivery across multiple initiatives
- Collaborate with a global team of product managers, engineers, designers, and others to plan writing projects, gather information, and review drafts
Skills We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience creating content for technical or business audiences
- Experience designing and implementing effective information architecture for large or complex content sets
- Excellent writing and editing skills with an impeccable command of the English language and grammar
- A user-focused approach with the ability to adapt your writing to meet the needs of your audience
- Experience writing about complex software products or high-tech systems, demonstrating a strong understanding of technical concepts
- Interest in public speaking
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from initiation to completion, delivering timely, high-quality results
- A strong track record of working with international and distributed teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and adapt to changing priorities
Bonus Skills
- Prior experience working with knowledge management platforms such as Slab, Confluence, Notion, or SharePoint
- Experience with ELT, SQL, or big data in general
