Want to help us help others? We’re hiring!

GoFundMe is the world’s most powerful community for good, dedicated to helping people help each other. By uniting individuals and nonprofits in one place, GoFundMe makes it easy and safe for people to ask for help and support causes—for themselves and each other. Together, our community has raised more than $40 billion since 2010.

Join us! As a Senior Staff Product Designer on GoFundMe Pro, you’ll lead design across complex problem spaces and multi-feature user journeys. You’ll also mentor other designers and help evolve our design systems.

You’ll be a core part of a triad leadership team, working shoulder-to-shoulder with your Product and Engineering partners to shape the vision, strategy, and execution of our most critical initiatives. Together, you’ll drive cross-functional collaboration, unlock user value, and guide the evolution of our platform.

We’re looking for a creative, strategic thinker with strong craft and a deep sense of purpose. Someone who thrives in ambiguity, leads with curiosity, and brings others along for the journey.

Candidates considered for this role will be located in the San Francisco, Bay Area. There will be an in-office requirement of 3x a week.

The Job

  • Help define the experience strategy for the GoFundMe Pro product and work with other designers to drive consensus across teams.
  • Drive and set the bar for design excellence at GoFundMe Pro.
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to drive design decisions that create user value and business impact.
  • Facilitate design workshops with cross-functional team members to ideate, brainstorm, and establish conceptual direction.
  • Create and deliver high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and specifications.
  • Contribute to and help evolve the Heart design system.
  • Collaborate with the product team to take conceptual ideas and turn them into usable, delightful, and valuable product features.
  • Actively participate in group design critiques to solicit and provide thoughtful feedback.

You

  • 10-12 years of experience as a Product Designer working in-house or at an agency
  • You enjoy mentoring other designers on design excellence, quality, and craft
  • Bring an expert understanding of the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, and proportion
  • You have great aesthetic judgment and attention to detail
  • You are skilled at articulating your design decisions.
  • End-to-end experience designing consumer-facing experiences for web and native apps.
  • You are a problem solver who requires very little guidance on projects and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have the ability to take initiative, prioritize, manage workloads, and meet project deadlines.
  • You are an excellent communicator and can clearly articulate your design decisions, ideas, and vision.
  • You are empathetic and have a user-centered approach to design.
  • Experience working with a lean team of Engineers, Product Managers and User Researchers
