What we’re looking for

The Market Researcher role is an exciting addition to the SurveyMonkey Research and Insights (R&I) Team which sits within the Research and Design organization as part of R&D. Reporting to the Head of Research and Insights, this early to mid-career role will support a recently established market research function that makes consumer insights actionable for marketing, product, and design. As the second Market Researcher, you will contribute to consumer and competitive insights through supporting and leading high-impact initiatives that guide business strategy. This role offers an opportunity to execute and grow mixed methods expertise within market research; it may also offer opportunities to drive product research or inform product strategy.

What you’ll be working on

  • Supporting market research efforts in brand, segments, personas, or use cases
  • Leading net new mixed methods research on our consumer-facing website
  • Partnering with a very multidisciplinary R&I Team to drive business alignment through triangulated insights
  • Providing rich insights to diverse partners about the market, our customers, and our competitors
  • Educating cross-functional partners on democratized research execution
  • Forging fruitful partnerships with new business stakeholders

We’d love to hear from people with

  • 3+ years conducting consumer research, preferably in B2B or B2C software
  • Experience owning research deliverables for internal-facing stakeholders, especially with marketing or R&D
  • Fluency in quantitative mixed methods and analytical tools for market or product research (i.e., survey design; experimental design; statistical analysis; sampling) with a lesser ability to also execute occasional qualitative methods (i.e., interviewing, focus groups, etc.)
  • Preference for degrees in research-intensive fields such as psychology, marketing research, advertising/media, social sciences, statistics, etc.
  • Experience using SurveyMonkey software

This opportunity is hybrid and requires you to work from a SurveyMonkey office 1 day per week.
