Senior Product Operations Manager

About the role

Product Operations create systems, guide processes, provide insights and improve business awareness, supercharging Product teams to create the most meaningful outcomes for customers. They top and tail the product life cycle: gathering insights, monitoring product health and feedback to inform product strategy at one end, and managing business dependencies and promoting awareness to ensure smooth releases at the other. All the while looking for opportunities to make improvements across product areas.

Product Ops Managers have in-depth product knowledge combined with a holistic view of the wider business landscape. They are embedded in product teams and work with team members from many disciplines. This role is essential for supporting growth, successful product launches, improving processes and building stronger relationships between product and the wider business. You'll join the Financial Systems team, and will report into Product Leadership. We are a hybrid, flexible workplace with offices in London and the option to work from home when suitable.

What you'll be doing

• Establish role as product expert, build relationships across the business and tech and become the go-to person within the product group.

• Identify challenges and opportunities and translate these into data-driven product requests.

• Guide the bi-annual quarterly and annual roadmapping process.

• Ensure ongoing product health by leading bug triage and troubleshooting product issues.

• Analyse large datasets to get to the bottom of product and customer issues. Surface the most meaningful data points and identify root causes.

• Lead the roll-out of product launches, ensuring all team members and external partners are aligned on launch tasks.

• Create essential documentation that ensures the success of launches across all markets e.g. (Go-to-market plans, internal FAQs and Care team product guides').

• Coordinate regular updates to team members to ensure Company wide product knowledge and awareness.

• Improve operational efficiency and by implementing process improvements.

• Address technical dependencies between Financial Systems products and Deliveroo's wider product base.

Requirements

• Experience in Product Operations / Product Management / Consulting (or equivalent).

• Experience leading diverse projects and teams.

• Experience with software development and communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Conveys and simplifies complex information.

Nice to haves

• Experience with payments ecosystems (payment providers, acquiring banks) and financial accounting (tax, credit. debits).

• Experience working with product and engineering teams.

• Familiarity with tools that clean, manipulate and display data.

• Familiarity with tools such as Jira and Jira Service Desk management.
