We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager to be the connective tissue between product, marketing, and sales, building the product positioning for Carbon’s software products and solutions aimed at revolutionizing how products are made. In this role, you will lead marketing strategy for our software suite interfacing with senior executives in sales, product, and marketing.
This role can be performed remotely, but you should expect to travel to our Redwood City, CA office regularly for key meetings and collaborative working sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the product positioning for Carbon's software products and solutions; drive marketing and customer-communications efforts to achieve Carbon's desired positioning
- Work closely with sales, customer support teams, and customers to understand and document key customer needs; partner with product and tech to drive appropriate prioritization of those needs
- Lead planning and execution of in-market launches for new feature and products
- Analyze customer adoption and usage from awareness through renewal or churn, ensuring customers have the right information at the right time
- Conduct primary and secondary market research to understand key segments and market dynamics
- Track competitive offerings and support sales enablement efforts
- Distill technical differentiation into positioning statements, messaging, and value propositions that will be leveraged throughout the sales and marketing funnel
- Work closely with the product team to develop and execute strategies to acquire new users.
Requirements:
- 5-6 years experience in SaaS product marketing , preferably focused on a technical, B2B software product
- Experience in defining customer purchase journey and optimizing web presence for purchase conversion.
- Understand how to scope and execute marketing strategies needed to reach different customer segments, leveraging qualitative and quantitative data from our analytics team and customer feedback
- Passionate about understanding new technology at a fundamental level with experience leading technical product launches
- Excellent collaboration skills and experience working with executives, sales, and product management teams
- Experience developing strategic positioning and messaging
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or marketing preferred, MBA is a plus
- Experience with quantitative analysis, market research and product strategy is a plus
- Experience in 3D printing is a plus
