About this role

We are looking for a senior Product Marketing Manager to bring to market products and features that help independent retailers and brands connect with each other and grow their businesses. You’ll partner closely with our product team to launch products that help brands find new stockists and manage their customer relationships - and launch products that help retailers discover and efficiently bring extraordinary products to local communities.  You’ll ground go-to-market strategies in customer empathy and insight that sparks product innovation, craft clear and inspiring customer-facing marketing, and partner with our sales and success teams to help our customers get more value out of Faire. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role at Faire that touches many teams. 

As an early member of Faire’s product marketing team, you’ll have the opportunity to help build the PMM function from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in events or promotions, be comfortable with autonomy, and be equally enthusiastic about strategy and execution. They will have a passion for leading cross-functional teams across product, marketing, design, and sales.

What you’ll do 

  • Manage go-to-market strategy and execution, partner with product teams to decide and workplan how to bring new products and features to our customers - applying strategic thinking, customer empathy, and an operator mindset to create launches with strong adoption
  • Craft clear and compelling marketing assets that yield customer understanding and excitement about Faire’s products’ value props and scales across product, marketing, and sales channels
  • Understand our audiences deeply, partnering with our product, market research and design teams to translate customer insight to product innovation, positioning, messaging, voice and tone
  • Lead cross-functional teams across Marketing, Sales, and Operations to ensure successful, collaborative, and on-time execution of launches and promotional events
  • Demonstrate data-driven rigor and a results-oriented approach by establishing key metrics for each product marketing campaign and tracking performance against goals
  • Build operational excellence for Faire’s nascent product marketing function — as an early PMM at Faire, you’ll help define the role and identify new opportunities for impact 

Qualifications

  • You have 7+ years of relevant experience in product marketing, product management, pricing, sales enablement, consulting, or go-to-market strategy for new products
  • You’re a persuasive writer and communicator — you sell the dream to rally a team and inspire customers through energizing customer-centric marketing
  • You’re a strong cross-functional leader who can influence outcomes across multiple stakeholders, especially product and sales
  • You’re equal parts strategy & execution - You love creating developing an audacious vision for exceptional customer experiences and equally thrive driving the details and executional launch plan for the program
  • You’re a data-driven marketer who loves to measure and improve the performance of your craft 
  • You’re passionate about small business and believe in Faire’s mission to help local retail succeed
  • Experience bringing a product to market in North America and Europe, including how to match positioning and messaging to each market and the at-scale processes for translations and multi-country launches
  • Experience leading and synthesizing market research, validation and voice of customer
  • Experience working with sales teams and developing sales enablement/collateral
