About the role:
DataCamp is seeking a dynamic Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our team! As a key member of the marketing team, you will spearhead the formulation and execution of our company's product marketing strategy.
Collaborating closely with our commercial and product units, you will develop compelling messaging that highlights DataCamp's unique value proposition to individual learners and organizations. Proficiency in storytelling, coupled with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, will be essential, alongside a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional programs and achieve measurable outcomes.
This role is suited for individuals who thrive on proactive problem-solving and hands-on involvement. Success in this position requires a keen sense of urgency, a revenue-driven mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse array of team members, including sales professionals, customer success managers, product managers, and content developers. Your initial focus will be on enhancing our communication strategies for both prospects and existing customers, making this role ideal for candidates with a robust understanding of the data landscape and a passion for developing product marketing initiatives from inception.
Responsibilities:
Persona Research: Identify and define enterprise buyer and user personas, including their specific needs, pain points, and goals that Datacamp can address.
Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitor activities, products, and strategies to identify market opportunities and threats, providing insights to product and sales teams to refine product messaging and roadmap.
Positioning and Messaging: Develop clear, compelling positioning and messaging that addresses the needs of our target customers, highlighting Datacamp’s key value drivers. Continuously iterate on messaging through A/B testing to optimize conversion across sales segments.
Marketing Collateral: Create high-quality product marketing and sales enablement materials, such as pitch decks, website content, blogs, white papers, webinars, videos, battle cards, demo scripts, email sequences, and data sheets, effectively communicating Datacamp's value throughout the buyer’s journey.
Campaign Content: Develop campaign messaging and content to support ongoing marketing initiatives.
Customer Relationships: Collaborate with the revenue and customer success teams to build strong relationships with key customers, gathering testimonials, case studies, and success stories.
Customer Feedback: Utilize customer feedback to enhance product positioning and inform future product development.
Analyst Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with industry analysts, briefing them on our product capabilities and roadmap.
Win/Loss Analysis: Participate in and document win/loss analyses to understand why we succeed, where we succeed, who to target, and what to avoid.
