The Role:
As the Senior Product Manager, you will provide strategic, commercial, and technical oversight across your product to ensure alignment with overall Xero strategy and customer requirements. This product will help support small businesses to become more efficient everyday and empower the community around them.
As a permanent remote worker at Xero we want to ensure you are getting the same #beautiful employee experience as our in-office Xero’s. Permanent remote Xero’s will benefit from a virtual ergonomic work assessment and funding to assist with the improvement of your at home work setup. You will have the opportunity to
- Own the vision and strategy for a complex product that touches small business owners, their advisors and their employees
- Drive commercial success through methodical validation of a customer-focused product roadmap
- Drive your team to execute on your strategy by maintaining a rolling 12 month roadmap, derived from real data & market insight, inclusive ideation processes and robust product discovery methodologies
- Collaborate with Product Strategy and your stakeholder community to develop and maintain a tangible product strategy outlining desired outcomes and ambitions for the year
- Partner with Global Product Marketing to create clear value propositions based on understanding the market landscape for payroll, customers, competitors, regulatory & technology trends, areas of opportunity and our service design blueprint
- Help small business owners remain compliant with all relevant legislation, creating customer delight and market opportunity from legislative needs
- Oversee the ongoing lifecycle management of your product in market, partnering with Global Product Marketing, GTM teams, Customer Analytics and Finance to ensure that the commercial success of your portfolio is being actively managed
- Develop an energetic team of Xeros, ensuring they experience personal growth and have fulfilling careers
In order to be successful in this role, you will have
- Strong experience as a Senior Product Manager leading a complex B2B solution
- Excellent strategic capabilities and commercial awareness, proven through business outcomes
- The ability to build effective relationships and influence across all levels of the business leveraging excellent stakeholder management, open communication style and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable experience collaborating with a diverse stakeholder group to realise commercial outcomes
- Experience solving real customer needs through robust product discovery methodologies
- A passion for building quality products that customers love and a deep understanding of design thinking and performance analytics
- Proven success managing the full product lifecycle
