The position

As Senior Product Manager for Web Experience you will play a pivotal role in creating a loveable platform experience for Remote’s users.

Your mission will be to create an intuitive and engaging way for users to interact with the Remote platform and stay organized. You will own the overall user experience of Remote’s web application, including horizontal features such as navigation, notifications, and search, ensuring they are not just functional but also delightful to use. You will be responsible for innovating and refining systems used by other teams across Remote to communicate with users and track activity. Your passion for data-driven analysis will help you evaluate and optimize the user experience and platform performance.

Your innovation will contribute directly to Remote’s status as a leader in the global employment space, as well as the company’s overall growth and success.

What you bring

  • A strong sense of design and UX.
  • A holistic approach to evaluating and optimizing the user experience for B2B web applications.
  • A strong track record of collaboration with design, user research, and product teams to create a cohesive platform experience.
  • 5+ years of Product Management experience at a high growth software company working on user facing applications.
  • Great judgment making both strategic (what to prioritize) and tactical (feature scope) decisions
  • Demonstrable, self-driven results that have made a significant impact on a product
  • Proven ability to quickly define, build, and launch exceptional features and user experiences
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, including across different departments (e.g. business operations, sales, etc.) to ensure that we’re satisfying critical business requirements
  • Experience in setting, tracking, and analyzing goals to achieve results.
  • Business-level proficiency writing and speaking English.
  • Bonus points for familiarity with tools commonly used in global hiring and payroll.

Key responsibilities

  • Take ownership of functionality that is core to the platform experience and identify opportunities to elevate the overall user experience.
  • Work closely with domain-specific product teams and internal and external stakeholders to understand platform needs. Work collaboratively to design systems and solutions that internal teams can build upon.
  • Prioritize and deliver solutions that make the greatest impact, owning not just software implementation, but the end-to-end experience.
  • Take the lead on solving complex problems and making decisions on the best path forward.
  • Ship improvements quickly and iteratively, striking the right balance between solutions that scale to solve long-term problems, getting value to users early, and acting on user feedback.
  • Communicate and collaborate internally and externally, evangelizing the product, roadmap, and process changes inside and outside of Remote.
  • Lead by example on asynchronous workflows, clear communication, and transparency.

We hope to inspire other companies to support global talent-hiring and bring local wealth to developing countries.

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide - here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce.  We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $53,600 USD to $180,900 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.

At Remote, we foster internal mobility as a key element of our culture of employee growth and development, supported by a compensation philosophy that guarantees pay equity and fairness. Therefore, all compensation changes associated with an internal move will be reviewed by the Total Rewards & People Enablement team on a case by case basis.
