Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity, assuming candidates have eligible working rights and a sufficient timezone overlap with their team. As our offices re-open, Atlassians can choose to work remotely or return to an office, unless it’s necessary for the role to be performed in the office. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

With a sufficient timezone overlap with the team, we’re able to hire eligible candidates for this role from any location in Australia and New Zealand. If this sparks your interest, apply today and chat with our friendly Recruitment team further.

As a Senior Product Manager at Atlassian, you will advance our mission to unleash the potential in every team and contribute to building platform user experiences across our portfolio of products.
You will be responsible for helping users connect with work across products. You will look after core platform experiences, including helping users start their day and jump into their work, stay on top of their incoming work through notifications, and switch between products and discovery.
You will inspire and energise teams across Atlassian to define the vision, evaluate product opportunities, analyse industry trends as well as customer and partner needs, and prioritise features and improvements.
Your work will impact millions of users including some of the leaders in their industries, now and for the next decade, as you define the foundations for how teams connect, collaborate, and accomplish amazing things.

More about you
You love working hard to make products as amazing as possible for customers. You have prior success in setting product vision and strategy and launching excellent products. You can lead the team through setting clear goals, making decisions, and communicating crisply to your team, to leaders across Atlassian, and to our customers and partners. You’ve got charisma in spades: you are social and adept at building relationships across product lines and functional groups to ensure we are all on the same page. You are deeply analytical and have a passion for user experience.

On your first day we'll expect you to have;

  • Sound Product management experience, ideally at a fast-growing software company
  • You love obsessing over your customers and working directly with design and engineering to ship delightful user experiences and powerful APIs
  • Ability to prioritise opportunities, balance the needs of our customers with those of our business, and clearly communicate the rationale behind your decisions
  • Good instincts matched with deep analytical thinking. You're comfortable defining and tracking key business and usage success metrics
  • A track record of building relationships and influencing without authority at all levels of the organisation.

It's great but not required if you have;

  • BE/BS/BA with an emphasis in technology, IT, or operations
  • Experience with building platform services
  • Experience working on enterprise-focused areas (B2B)
More about our team

Providing a collaborative editing experience that intelligently embeds 3rd party content

All backed by enterprise-grade services that our customers can depend on. We're also supporting the research and development of entirely new products!
