ABOUT THE ROLE

Our mission is to simplify recruitment for data roles by streamlining the job search for candidates or for recruiters looking to hire for their data teams. 

The talent team at DataCamp is responsible for creating a two-sided marketplace that matches qualified candidates with leading companies looking to recruit for data roles. Our job seeker offering is DataCamp Jobs, and our recruitment platform is DataCamp Recruit. 

We’re on our way to becoming the go-to platform for recruitment for data roles. 

This is a brand new, greenfield, and exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Manager to join our new business line and talent team. In this role, you will be in charge of:

  1. Understanding and solving the users’ problems
  2. Crystallize the vision, strategy, and product roadmap of Jobs and Recruit products, in line with the company’s goals and mission, taking into account user input and available information and data.
  3. Determine and follow through on your team’s metrics for success while cultivating collaboration and alignment. This includes creating and managing a data-driven framework to measure the success of new and existing product features (engagement metrics, etc.).
  4. Working cross-functionally with engineers and UX designers to guide products from inception to launch 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 30% strategic 
    • Develop a thorough understanding of business objectives, then determine how to leverage design and technology to achieve those objectives on a quarterly basis. 
    • Successfully engage and manage stakeholders on various levels 
    • Define and develop the product strategy, a consistent product vision, and a quarterly roadmap that your team and the company buy into. 
  • 20% operational
    • Connect strategic to tactical work by creating a roadmap that connects the current state of the products to the future state and aligns teams around the work.
    • Provide the context for the team to make good decisions quickly enough.
  • 50% tactical
    • Build new features and deliver them, and make continuous product improvements
    • Delight our users and ensure that we are constantly improving the product experience.
    • Break down work with engineers and designers.
    • Crunch the data to determine what to do next.
    • Gain in-depth knowledge of customer needs and challenges by conducting user interviews.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in launching quality products in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are user and data driven. You constantly seek to refine your instincts through user feedback and data insights.
  • You collaborate with engineering, design, product marketing, sales, and customer support to build or improve your products.
  • You can process a large amount of information to build a product roadmap while maintaining enough flexibility for product discovery.
  • You have a proven track record of working in the hustle and bustle of daily life without losing sight of the long-term vision. 
  • You are hands-on and enjoy being out on the field. 
  • You can communicate and find common ground between different types of stakeholders.
