Working at Atlassian

Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Assuming you have eligible working rights and a sufficient time zone overlap with your team, you can choose to work remotely or return to an office as they reopen (unless it’s necessary for your role to be performed in the office). Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

We have an office in Bengaluru but as we continue to expand our footprint in India, we can hire eligible candidates remotely anywhere in India.

Atlassian products are used and loved by millions of users worldwide to drive innovation - be it outstanding software, electric cars, spaceships or robotic surgeries. Atlassian fuels the world’s best teams to build products better and faster with world-class products like Jira, Trello, Confluence, Bitbucket and more.

The product management opportunity:

  • As a Senior Product Manager working in the Jira Service Management (JSM) Cloud team at Atlassian, you will advance our mission to unleash the potential in every team! Join us as we build one of the fastest-growing products in Atlassian.
  • You will be joining the JSM team focused on the Support Mission, which is all about empowering teams to efficiently deliver exceptional service to all help seekers. You will initially be focused on projects related to Knowledge Base, enabling agents to boost their productivity through shared knowledge, as well as allowing help seekers to solve their issues faster through self-service.
  • You will partner with engineering and design to form a triad to inspire and lead your team to success. Your responsibilities will include customer research, building product strategy and roadmap, establishing build-measure-learn loops, and deft stakeholder management. Your work will impact millions of users and thousands of companies for decades to come, while bringing fun, excitement and the speed of consumer software to the Enterprise.

More about you:

  • You love delivering outstanding products and capabilities for customers.
  • You have prior success setting product vision and strategy and launching excellent features & products.
  • You can set clear goals, make decisions, and communicate crisply to your team, to leaders across Atlassian, and to our customers & partners.
  • You can map an organisation’s strategy directly to a team’s roadmap, and clearly ladder their results back into that strategy.
  • You relish the challenge of translating deep technical challenges into business and customer value propositions.
  • You’ve got charisma in spades — you’re social and adept at building relationships across product lines and functional groups to make sure everyone is aligned.

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • If you tick a couple of the below boxes, great! Throw your hat in the ring and let’s go from there;
  • Extensive product management background with a track record delivering products and experiences globally.
  • Ability to define the balance between solving the customer problem and the minimum product that allows a team to ship, learn and iterate.
  • Experience in prioritising product roadmaps and effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in working in a fast paced, evolving environment, utilising an iterative method and flexible approach to enable rapid delivery.
  • Proven success in leading and scaling remote teams without direct authority.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to rally a team around the work they are doing, strong story teller who adapts its style based on the audience.
  • Experience with customer usability (UX & UI) and hypothesis driven experimentation.
  • High energy, results-oriented self-starter with a positive approach. You are known for your "can do" demeanour, curiosity and creativity.
  • Your customer centric and metrics driven approach enables you to translate customer needs into clear and measurable deliverables.

It is great but not required if you have:

  • 5+ years of prior product management experience
  • Strong track record of building relationships and influencing at all levels across the organisation
  • BE/BS/BA with an emphasis in technology; Masters or MBA preferred
  • Experience with ITSM or ESM market
  • Experience working on enterprise-focused areas (B2B).
