Are you a visionary product leader passionate about shaping the future of knowledge platforms and empowering technologists worldwide? We’re seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our team dedicated to Enterprise Products, Stack Overflow’s product line focused on enabling enterprises to leverage their own internal knowledge. We are building the knowledge Intelligence toolkit for builders and technologists across Enterprises, and looking to bring on a Product Manager to help drive the next evolution of our product. This is a unique opportunity to define, experiment, and launch innovative solutions that will impact millions, charting the course for elevating the craft of current and next generation of technologists, at scale. As a Senior Product Manager on the Spark team, you won't just manage a team; you'll explore, evaluate, and bring to life ideas targeting untapped, missing, and uncaptured implicit knowledge, filling critical gaps, and helping reduce builder cognitive load. You'll operate at the intersection of deep user understanding, cutting-edge technology (especially AI), and market trends, working hand-in-hand with senior leadership to identify and capitalize on the biggest opportunities for growth and impact.

This role is for a proven product manager with a strong bias for action, who thrives in ambiguous, greenfield environments and can translate complex ideas into tangible, high-impact products, while driving KPIs forward. If you're excited by the prospect of defining the future of knowledge toolkits for technologists and building products that become indispensable to their daily lives, we want to talk to you.

The ideal candidate has prior experience building B2B SaaS products and is excited to grow and innovate on the offering.

You’ll have the opportunity to do a lot. Here’s what you can expect during your first year:

  • First Month: Get onboarded and brought up to speed on our current plans. You’ll spend a lot of time learning about our products, building rapport with the product, engineering, marketing, sales, customer success, and product support teams, and contributing to upcoming releases. During this time, you’ll be working closely with our existing Stack Internal product teams.

  • Next 3 Months: Begin running your product team of engineers, and designer while working with researchers and other product managers. Acquire a deep understanding of the biggest opportunities and pain points for our customer-users across all tiers through past and new user research. This will include expanding our product suite to better address their needs, and improving their overall experience on the platform. You’ll speak with users and customers, write specs, run experiments, and iterate on ideas with your team and stakeholders.

  • Next 8 months: You will take a leadership role developing the long-term roadmap for your product team. You’ll be involved not just in product development, but in defining long-term strategy, improving our processes, and advocating for the best way to enable our customers to find success, with Stack Internal.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with other PMs, product engineering leadership, and key stakeholders to set the product strategy for a product area and lead a team to execute on that strategy
  • Build a product roadmap, maintain a backlog of projects, and manage the priorities for the team
  • Contribute to detailed user research and customer segmentation to understand the core issues that our users and customers care about
  • Propose new products and features and pitch them to the company and community
  • Define and monitor metrics to determine the effectiveness of features, and administer split tests to measure overall impact
  • Interact with our customer-users around the world to gather ideas and feedback

What we need to see:

  • 7+ years in a product management role
  • Experience working on a B2B SaaS product, preferably building web applications at scale
  • Hands-on experience with knowledge based products is a huge plus
  • Familiarity with Stack Overflow or other communities are preferred
  • A track record for 0 to 1 product releases, with an obsession for data, and driving KPIs forward, via outcome focused updates
  • Excellent spec-writing and UX skills. Experience with usability testing, customer interviews, and A/B tests.
  • An understanding of the technical and design implications of what you ask the team to do
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly through written word (whether that's online posts, specs, blogging, or anything else)

Also note:

  • We’re a remote-friendly team and you’ll be part of a remote work culture that emphasizes online communication. While we’re generally very flexible on working hours, your working hours will need to overlap with (at least) the hours of 10AM - 2PM US Eastern time.

What you’ll get in return:

  • Competitive Base Salary
  • Generous paid vacation
  • Generous parental leave (16 weeks at 100% pay), family care leave, and unlimited sick days
  • Equity for all employees at all levels
  • Industry-leading health benefits that are applicable per country of residence for all our full-time employees
  • Company-paid Life Insurance
  • Home Internet stipend
  • Professional allocation for your growth and development
  • One-time allowance to assist with your home office setup
  • Company-paid access to Calm, Bravely, LinkedIn Learning, MyAcademy and Overdrive
