At SumUp we are passionate about creating beautifully designed card payment devices and accessories that enable our merchants to start, run, and grow their own businesses. We recently launched the Solo, our new flagship Card Reader and Point of Sale device. Behind its pocket-sized touchscreen is a powerful in-house designed tech stack, with which we aim to deliver many features that will improve the lives of our busy merchants.

You’ll be part of a local, autonomous, cross-functional team, which deals with a diverse range of engineering topics like backend services, mobile apps, all the way to embedded systems, industrial and electronic design. Your mission as the Senior Product Manager for the Solo Squad is to bring this early stage product to its fullest potential.

  • Define, prioritise and manage all discovery and delivery activities within the squad and release new features on a regular basis
  • Play a crucial role in defining the multi-year product strategy for your squad and the Hardware tribe as a whole
  • Accelerate the build-measure-learn loop of the squad through a variety of qualitative and quantitative research techniques and agile delivery methodologies

You’ll be great for this role if:

  • You are a seasoned PM and have overseen multiple products through their entire lifecycle
  • You have strong project management skills and a proven track record of managing complex live products
  • You are a very strong communicator and know how to collaborate with a large variety of stakeholders across big organization
  • You understand what makes people tick – their skills, ambitions, communication styles, and individual challenges
  • You are pragmatic and take an evidence-based approach to problem solving
  • You seek to continuously improve your skills as a PM and can act as a mentor and peer to the rest of our PM chapter

Nice to have, but not a must:

  • You have experience working with hardware and/or understanding of payment standards.
