About Kraken Field

We’re making converting homes to green electrons as simple as possible, by building a giant integrated platform to enable engineers to retrofit homes with smart meters, solar panels, heat pumps, and EV chargers.

We’re busy launching in new countries, working with ever more engineers and tech partners, building exciting new features at scale, and creating the integrated solution to retrofit homes across the world - all in the name of making it as easy and cheap as possible for customers to go green.

Kraken Field is a multifunctional team made up of product, backend, design, mobile, web and more - all focused together on making Octopus the go-to name in green home installations. And we’re looking for smart individuals with an interest in the space who can help us make it happen.

About the Opportunity

At Kraken Technologies we’re looking to revolutionise the energy system to make power cheaper, greener and better for people around the world. Our tech platform ‘Kraken’ is already licensed to support 25 million customer accounts in 9 countries, and we aim to serve 100 million globally by 2027.

Our Technology Team has grown extremely quickly as a result, tripling in size within the last 18 months. With this rapid growth, we are looking for proactive Product Managers to join our team and work with our developers, ensuring what they do has the highest impact for our customers.

We need someone able to ensure our developers are working optimally towards our unified mission. You’ll need to be a self-starter: someone who sees a problem and can’t help but want to fix it. You’ll be well organised, working methodically and clearly to ensure projects go from inception to completion. We put the customer first wherever we are in the business and work empathetically with one another to deliver the best possible outcomes.

Scheduling

Working within Kraken Field, a best in field engineering and field management solution that is geared at the utilities market. Scheduling involves getting engineers to sites in an efficient and green manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading & Influencing
Partners with Engineering Team Lead(s) to create a strong sense of purpose and mission for the development team
Acts as the go-to person for particular product areas covered by the development team
Establishes customer needs in a compelling way to department and engineering teams
Makes effective decisions with clear rationale, using appropriate tools for the scenario

Product Knowledge

Champions the product vision & ensures the plain is in line with vision and goals and continues to be fit for purpose throughout roadmap delivery
Understands how their product fits in with the broader platform
