SumUp is a FinTech player on a mission to support small merchants to be successful doing what they love all over the world. We are looking for a (Senior) Product Manager that enables SumUp to be at the heart of the store. This person will lead the way to put our Point-of-Sale on the counter of millions of small merchants to help facilitate their in-store operations and bring them closer to their customers.

POS Lite is our free Point-of-Sale in the SumUp app that comes pre-installed on our proprietary register hardware, or it can be installed on tablet & phone devices. Our products are used by millions of independent small business owners (such as cafes, shops, bars, hair salons) around the world, and help them start, run, and grow their businesses. 

This is a crucial role in the Reporting & Insights squad who provides merchants with actionable sales reports and financial insights. Your work will directly impact millions of small merchants and help them to better run their business.

What you’ll do

  • As part of a cross-functional team, enable our merchants to get valuable business insights & reports through delivery of impactful features
  • Help define the team’s product vision, strategy and roadmap
  • Manage the discovery, validation and implementation of these features, working closely with product analysts, research and design
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to successfully launch new products and experiences for our merchants
  • Work iteratively to ensure product-market fit over time and across several markets
  • Coordinate and collaborate with others teams in SumUp to advance POS Lite in the market and ensure a consistent merchant experience
  • Manage the backlog, define requirements and scope features, facilitate discussions and drive resolution of issues



You’ll be great for this position if

  • You have a minimum of  3 years experience in Product Management in an agile organisation, preferably in fintech
  • You have a solid track record in incremental software development with a focus on delivering value at every step
  • You have a strong business acumen and are data-driven in your approach to product development
  • You know how to work directly with customers and value experimentation throughout the product development lifecycle
  • You have experience working with marketing teams to launch new products and experiences
  • You are proactive and motivated by navigating complex organisations and systems, often working across multiple teams and functions
  • You’re fluent in English, both spoken and written – any other languages are a plus

Any of the following would be considered a plus

  • You have a passion for financial data and first hand experience in accounting
  • You are comfortable working with technical product teams and platforms
