Senior Product Manager, Premium & Perks

Reddit is continuing to grow our teams with the best talent. This role is completely remote friendly and will continue to be after the pandemic. 

Team Description: 

The Premium & Perks team shepherds core direct-to-consumer (DTC) monetization features that have innovated on core Reddit in the last three years: 

• Reddit Premium: a paid subscription product that gives users an ads-free experience, access to exclusive subreddits, exclusive Avatar gear and Coins monthly; 
• Awards: a virtual gifting product users can give one another (most famously, Gold!); 
• Coins: a virtual good that is used to give Awards;
• Powerups: a community-based subscription product that gives the entire community better benefits, including HD video, custom emojis and GIFs in comments (see r/kpop, r/wallstreetbets or r/RoastMe for examples)

The team’s mission is to build monetizable premium products and a thriving virtual economy that deepens community, belonging and empowerment on Reddit.

Role Description: 

As the Senior Product Manager on this team, you will be expected to run the team independently and are responsible for the end-to-end success of the Premium & Perks team by aligning all functions (e.g. Engineering, Design, Data, Marketing) to work well together.

You will be expected to tap into your product sense of social motivations, gamification and Reddit culture to drive roadmap planning and contribute to higher-level strategy for growing and scaling the Premium & Perks product area. You are capable of using a variety of persuasive techniques to convince your team and leadership of product direction, including using comparative benchmarks in the market. 

Finally, you are entrepreneurial and fluent in shifting focus across a set of complex products. Success in this role is about growing this product offering - which comes with the opportunity to grow a team under you in a 12-18 month time horizon as the product grows in impact. 

Responsibilities:

• Think big - contribute to the strategy for Premium & Perks, achieve alignment, and translate into a roadmap
• Execute fast - partner with Engineering, Design and Data to deliver launches on the roadmap
• Collaborate cross-functionally (E.g. Community, Communications, Legal) to launch features
• Iterate fast - Analyze shipped products, identify gaps, and refine the roadmap
• Business Area Impact - Set forecasts for product area(s) on a multi-quarter time frame. Lead the team in delivering against those forecasts

Required Qualifications:

• Four years of product management experience. Worked in or adjacent to consumer-facing apps, social networks, free-to-play games, new product development
• Fluency with using Data - tactical (e.g. A/B testing) and strategic (e.g. feature level estimations, sizing) to inform crisp decisions
• A fine eye for design and craft in product, including a passion for emotional design 
• Strong writing and storytelling skills
• A passion for staying up to speed on competitive products and drawing meaningful insights
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Leadership owning and shipping major consumer features, with engagement from millions of users.  
• Hands on experience with SQL
• Experience with product monetization features, e.g. a la carte purchases, subscriptions, merchandising and price testing
