The Postman API Network is the world’s largest repository of APIs, with tens of thousands of APIs to check the weather, look up sports scores, book events, plan travel, send payments, and more. As developers, we know there’s no better feeling than seeing your code work, especially when you’re integrating with someone else’s API. 

As a deeply technical and developer-focused product manager, you’ll set the strategic vision, drive the roadmap, and lead the execution for the features that make it easy for developers to discover, learn, and consume tens of thousands of public APIs on Postman. By creating a great first impression for developers, you’ll create a lasting impression that brings them back to Postman whenever they need to use a public API. You’ll play a pivotal role in helping Postman achieve its mission of 100M collaborating developers.

This is a hybrid position based in NYC. As a standalone business with Postman, we build fast, learn while doing it, and most importantly, have fun!

What You’ll Do

• Define and drive the strategy, roadmap, and feature development for products and features that make it simple for developers to discover, learn, and use public APIs.
• Set a high bar for product quality, ensuring a seamless experience that allows developers to integrate APIs effortlessly.
• Bring technical insight to foster a world-class team focused on the developer experience.
• Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and stakeholders to launch impactful features that improve how developers discover and use public APIs in their projects.

About You

• 10+ years of product management experience building tools for developers.
• Proven track record building products and features that developers love to use.
• Deeply technical with a proven ability to lead complex technical projects.
• Passionate about mentoring and fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• You’re mission-oriented, care about the details, and like to move fast.
• Previous experience as a developer is a must.
• Experience working in a two-sided network is a plus.

This role is based in the greater New York City area, and the reasonably estimated salary can be requested anytime. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition to our pay-on-performance philosophy, we offer comprehensive benefits, including full medical coverage, flexible PTO, wellness reimbursement, and a monthly lunch stipend. Salaries will vary outside of the listed metropolitan areas & the U.S.
