At Tripadvisor, we want you to bring your unique identities, abilities, and experiences, so we can collectively revolutionize travel and together find the good out there.

At Tripadvisor, we understand that travel brings out the best in us, while lifting deserving businesses and strengthening the communities we meet along the way. We know that as the world’s largest travel site, we’re here to inspire and empower people to explore our world with confidence — and share their trip experiences with others. And every day, we see our ideas come to life in work that enables travelers to discover all the good the world has to offer. As part of the Tripadvisor team, you’ll have the opportunity to do the same.

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Product Manager to join our Guidance Platform team and help build and enhance Tripadvisor’s leadership role in delivering travel guidance to millions of travelers across the globe. In particular, you will be responsible for our Places database and Maps experiences, essential elements of how Tripadvisor delivers trusted travel guidance.  This includes building tools and processes to ensure that our database of travel listings is comprehensive and accurate, oversee geocoding / geofencing data that powers location-driven recommendations, and responsibility for our on-site Maps that supports travel planning & discovery for millions of users. You will work closely with a team of passionate engineers, analysts and partners in Product, B2B and Content teams to develop a roadmap that delivers scalable infrastructure and solutions to the broader company.

What You’ll Do

  • Help to shape the strategy for Places & Maps as part of the Guidance Platform team, with ownership over geography/POI listings and metadata, geocoding/geofencing data and Maps experiences.

  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams align on the product vision, and ensure our Places strategy aligns with and contributes to cross-functional and company goals.

  • Leverage user research and competitive benchmarking to deliver a world-class Maps experience.

  • Develop written requirements and define success metrics and associated use-cases for new projects, shepherding projects from ideation to test results analysis and iteration.

  • Identify, execute and communicate opportunities in the existing product flow with rigorous A/B testing to support the business plan.

  • Partner with UX/Design, Analytics, B2B and Content teams to own, measure and influence key metrics.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.

  • 5+ years experience in consumer-focused (B2C) product management. Experience with Mapping technology/UX or PIM/listing data management a plus.

  • Experience in direct user testing, A/B and multivariate testing, and data analysis.

  • Familiarity with user-centric product design and feature definition.

  • Analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions.

  • Interest in contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with various audiences at different seniority levels. We strive to create an accessible and inclusive experience for all candidates. If you need a reasonable accommodation during the application or the recruiting process, please make sure to reach out to your individual recruiter or our team at [email protected]
