Our mission: to simplify international transportation through technology and data! ✈️

Founded in 2017, Ovrsea is a new generation freight forwarder that uses technology to simplify and optimize international transportation for companies. We support more than 600 companies such as Engie, Vinci, Devialet, Sézane or even Nuxe in more than 60 countries in their international freight transport.

We allow our customers to manage all their transport issues in a few clicks from our web interface, from quotation to invoicing, by digitizing the entire transport tracking experience. We have also developed an in-house platform to facilitate the operational management of our customers’ transports in order to best meet their needs in record time.

The year 2021 has been strategic for Ovrsea: Since January 2021, we have joined forces with the Bolloré Group to accelerate our development and we have recruited 50 people.

2022 promises to be an even more challenging year with the recruitment of 100+ people, the opening of 4 new international offices and thus expand on the international market! Moreover we plan to triple our revenue for the third year in a row.

The Product Team:

The Product team is the arm of OVRSEA’s vision: our tools will revolutionize international freight transport!

Discoverers of solutions in a market with little digitalization, our PMs bring to our customers new solutions of transport management and allow our Ops teams to be the most efficient of the market.

What is a Senior PM at OVRSEA?

Product Managers are autonomous and intervene at all levels at OVRSEA: they are operational on their entire perimeter, and also bring a strategic vision for the quarterly roadmaps.

Reporting to the Product team, managed by [Georges](https://www.linkedin.com/in/georges-semaan-424915b4/)**,** our CPO, and [Martin](https://www.linkedin.com/in/martin-chochod/) our Lead PM, you will work on our two products Hermes (for our external customers) and Atlas (our internal product) with their respective specificities and challenges.

Our Product organization is a product for us: we contribute to improve it every month with a retrospective and a training session organized by a PM.

You will have a special role in improving our processes and providing methodologies, and with your experience, you will be able to quickly mentor our PMs, especially during our *Pair Speccing* sessions.

Finally, we have the privilege of building a product in a market that is not very digitalized and complex. We are therefore pioneers in the field and the challenge is extremely interesting!

Your assignments:

Product Discovery (50%)

-Discover and prioritize the hottest issues through frequent user interviews (user research, demo participation, customer calls)

-Identify behaviors, trends and blocking points through analysis of our data (Heap, Metabase)

-Monitor news about our industry, competitors and product practices

Product Delivery (30%)

-Convert the Product roadmap into clear, concise and optimized work streams with Pareto (80% impact with 20% effort)

-Work with Engineers & Designers to build the best Product solutions

-Monitor the performance of our features and improve them (or remove them if needed)

-Inform our users about new products and spread the product culture at OVRSEA!

Strategic Vision & Roadmap (20%)

-Feed the Product Strategy with insights gathered (user interviews, fieldwork, data, competitive intelligence...)

-Identify and prioritize with the Product team the projects for the next quarters

-Contribute to the improvement of our processes and our recruitments (PM, Product Designer)

-Take part in the development of the PM's skills

The Team's challenges for 2022

Boost our growth in large accounts by tackling their specific problems (mass tracking, collaboration with their partners, detailed reporting, API integrations, etc.)

Support the opening of OVRSEA’s international offices and operate end-to-end transportation

Build products for our future Procurement and Customs departments

Accelerate our strategic tracks for supply chain management (TMS, stock vision, suppliers, Net Zero Initiative)

But also, many challenges on our organization: doubling our staff, co-constructing our annual strategy, industrializing our User Research, strengthening our UX & Design standards… and many others!
