The team
Our Product & Program Management teams work on some of the most impactful and challenging problems in the Software industry. We are a highly collaborative cross-border group that operates on the edge between Engineering and the business and helps to design solutions from concept to launch – all while focusing on and advocating for what’s best for our customers. We work closely with Engineering and Design to create some of the most innovative never-been-done-before products. We partner with the Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Security teams to bring the product to market.

This position
As the Senior Product Manager, you will help develop and expand our Notary product suite, a critical component of the Agreement Cloud. Your role operates at the intersection of law and technology, ensuring that DocuSign leads the market in notary and assisted transactions across the globe. 

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director of Sign Strategy & Industry/Government Relations and is designated Flex.

Responsibilities

  • Work extensively with legal and compliance teams to translate complex laws, regulations and technical specifications into product requirements, controls and development strategies for our digital notary product line 
  • Develop plans that move us toward compliant offerings while balancing the need to get solutions to market quickly
  • Understand applicable laws, regulations and best practices and articulate their implications for our products and services
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies regularly, responding to regulatory requests, addressing product inquiries, educating regulators on our offerings, and serving as a key point of contact on behalf of DocuSign 
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to review external certification requirements and drive toward approval
  • Help drive industry standards and best practices through thought leadership and advocacy efforts 
  • Support strategic efforts for legislative reforms and industry standards influence through product demonstrations and roadmap discussions
  • Be data-driven, ensuring that our product strategy is informed by actionable data to help differentiate us in the marketplace
  • Work with Product Marketing, Enablement, and more to support DocuSign field teams in navigating a complicated legal space 
  • Identify cross-team dependencies that may inhibit desired end result and work with other product managers to find resolution in execution and priority
  • Serve as a zealous advocate for our customers, helping them be successful in using our digital notary product offerings
  • Develop deep industry expertise, drive insights on the markets and segments in which our services compete; stay on top of industry trends, events, and channels to anticipate customer needs and landscape changes
  • Review existing processes, identify gaps, recommend improvements and implement changes 
  • Establish key performance metrics and implement strategies for continuously improving them

Basic qualifications 

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in product management 
  • Excellent product management and operational skills  
  • Experience drafting product requirements documentation 
  • Demonstrated success building/managing large-scale technology products including new, existing, or legacy products

  • Demonstrated ability working with industry standards, laws and regulations that influence product requirements 
  • Strong interest in helping shape the laws and standards that influence DocuSign’s products, including our digital notary product line 
  • Ability to influence and collaborate in a matrixed environment having multiple stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and approach to your work 
  • Comfort in an environment with a high degree of ambiguity 
  • A solution-focused problem solver who’s as comfortable strategizing and leading as diving into the details of getting solutions built, tested and launched
  • Knows how to get things done; execute consistently, rapidly, and effectively; product planning, customer discovery, product discovery, prod dev process; stakeholder management
  • Great communication skills and a talent for making complex things understandable; experience communicating effectively and efficiently with company leadership as well as key external stakeholders
  • Experience working cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholders including Legal, Engineering, Design, IT, Operations, Program Management, Marketing, Sales and Customer Support
  • Strong familiarity with Google suite

Based on Colorado law, the following details are for Colorado individuals only: Colorado base salary range: $115,800 - $163,575 and eligible for bonus, equity and benefits at https://www.docusign.com/company/benefits.
