Senior Product Manager - North America Rails & Partners

Full-timeSenior Product Manager$147,100-$204,600*
Austin, United States
Please let Wise know you found this offer on WeLoveProduct as a way to support us 🫶

Your mission:

Wise has already pioneered new ways for people to transfer money across borders and currencies. Our customers can also manage their hard-earned money with the world’s first platform to offer true multi-currency banking. Your mission is to help Wise’s US and Canadian customers move their money in, out and within Wise more conveniently, faster and cheaper. You will work with partners and payment providers to provide access to all customers to Wise’s services.

Here’s how you’ll be contributing:

  • Contribute to the growth strategy of the biggest and fastest growing market, North America. Clarify why the teams should invest their time in a specific part of the product.
  • Find new ways to let customers move money in and out of the Wise ecosystem (new payment methods, point of entry via partnerships, improving existing experience via API and our Website or App)
  • Find, design and build new ways to increase payment limits, speeds and decreasing prices by innovating with our banks partners.
  • Expand our Wise platform’s reach by understanding how our customers are trying to use our APIs. Driving end to end partnership conversations with banks and non-banks to implement Wise’s API platform on their side (e.g. GPay, Xero, SFCU).
  • Focus on understanding what customers need to hold money into the Wise ecosystem (e.g. automating money movement needs like paying bills or automatically converting money).
  • Work on the future of Wise’s North American payment infrastructure by talking with industry partners and regulating bodies to influence the next generation of payment methods (FedNow, RTR)

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Choose your path to impact - we believe people are most empowered when they can act autonomously. So rather than telling you what to do, you’ll work with your team to create a vision of your own. Of course, you can always gather feedback from smart, curious people across Wise but you’ll have the freedom to make your own calls.
  • Grow as a product manager - drive ambitious and high impact projects from ideation to delivery in the fastest growing market at Wise. Help cut the noise and bring clarity to your team.
  • Build expertise - you’ll learn how payments truly work in the US and Canada to the point where you can help and challenge the people who designed those payment rails.
  • Work with external partners - you’ll be working closely with our business development team and supporting them to best address our customers needs.
  • Be part of our mission to make money without borders the new normal.

A bit about you:

  • You’re passionate about product and user experience - customers are at the heart of what you do and that empathy drives your decisions.
  • You can explain clearly and succinctly your rationale for making decisions with data (rather than assumptions and truisms).
  • You know how to learn and love learning new subjects, going in depth and teaching back what you know.
  • You love talking to customers and large clients. You can explain and sell an experience by understanding quickly what your customer is looking for.
  • You love sharing your opinion on topics that you care about or are an expert in. You can articulate and share your opinion in front of a challenging audience.
  • You like to get your hands dirty and always ready for action. You are conscious and can take a step back first to explain why you are taking any decision.
  • You are not territorial or thinking that it’s someone else’s job. You work for the greater good of your customers and team.

We’re people without borders — without judgement or prejudice, too. We want to work with the best people, no matter their background. So if you’re passionate about learning new things and keen to join our mission, you’ll fit right in.

Also, where and what you studied isn't important to us. If you’ve got great experience, the right skills for the role and you’re great at articulating your thinking, we’d like to hear from you.
