We’re at an exciting time in our growth, having doubled in size over the last 6 months, and we’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to come into the business and help us unlock our next stage of growth.

The role:

You’ll be a key member of our Smash fees pillar that is responsible for ensuring our users can progress their financial health by avoiding unnecessary fees and charges. You will be looking at 0-1 opportunities in the credit space and going from ideation and concept stage to validating and testing key assumptions, and designing, testing and building an MVP that can then scale if successful. 

Outcome 1: Test, validate and build product MVPs in the credit space that target “emerging adults” (ie first or second jobs, just becoming financially responsible)

• Work collaboratively with your squad to come up with concepts that resonate with the target audience
• Understand the key financial assumptions we need to test and validate to ensure that the product could be significantly revenue additive at scale
• Establish a clear stage gate process to take ideas through and get alignment from stakeholders
• Decide on scope and trade-offs to get MVPs out to users for the most promising concepts and ensure success criteria are established and evaluated

Outcome 2:  Scale up a successful MVP

• Work with commercial finance, operations/partnerships to understand lead times and dependencies for scaling an MVP to a larger number of users
• Align with marketing on value props for acquiring new users to the product
• Continue to validate key assumptions as the product scales and continuously iterate on the product based on learnings 

You should apply if you:

• Have early stage product experience at a start-up or scale-up, and enjoy being hands on with a cross functional team of analysts, designers, and engineers
• Able to say “no” more than you say “yes” to keep the squads focused on the most impactful priorities, but also able to communicate clearly with stakeholders and get alignment
• Work collaboratively with your product squad and involve them in strategy and decision-making 
• Bring creativity into how we approach financial products. We're radically changing how people interact with and feel about their finances. This means thinking about problems in a different way, and we encourage PMs from all backgrounds to apply.
• Bring energy and drive to ensure your product is successful. People would describe you as a force of nature who cares about their team

How long will the process take?

We aim to move as fast as possible. Usually 2-3 weeks is enough time for us all to get to know each other.

• Step 1: Quick phone/video call with a member of our Talent Team to find out more about your experience and why you want to work at Cleo
• Step 2: 45 minutes with the Hiring Manager 
• Step 3: Live product task interview, to be presented to a Product Lead and another squad member 
• Step 4: 45 minutes each with two cross-functional peers from engineering, user experience, commercial or data
