We want a passionate, results oriented Product Manager who grows the DO business and helps everyone on their team stretch and grow.

We are looking for a passionate, results oriented, and motivated self-starter to develop and innovate on providing Networking products and services to the DO Cloud platform. You will report into the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Business Unit which owns and develops all internal and external facing Networking components and you will continue to expand in your role to lead the vision and strategy for the next generation of DO Networking infrastructure and revenue generating offerings. In this visible role, you will lead a matrixed cross-functional team including Product Managers,  Product Design, Product Engineering and Infrastructure Engineering and Architecture to develop new Networking products, services and capabilities for DO and the customers we serve. Along the way, you’ll drive yourself and others towards the vision, and have a dramatic impact on the future success of this rapidly growing company.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop the DO Network product vision, strategy, roadmap and translate it into creative, high quality, simple features. 
  • Create and monitor well defined OKRs for the DO Network product domain, measure success and course correcting when and where necessary.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, define “jobs to be done” and create internal and external customer user stories.
  • Develop and Lead quarterly planning for the Network product domain, measure success with well defined OKRs.
  • Develop business cases and model unit economics for new Network products and features.
  • Act as Product Owner in the development process, creating epics and user stories, and prioritizing and grooming the product backlog.
  • Drive a high-performance culture within your team that iterates frequently and learns continuously without sacrificing product quality.
  • Create the pricing, product positioning, and go-to-market plans for the DO Networking products and services.
  • Enable the DO Sales team with product training and collateral.
  • Create and drive a community engagement plan.

What You’ll Add to DigitalOcean:

  • Leadership: ability to lead and collaborate with a matrixed cross-functional Product Development team
  • Customer Focus: a solid understanding of the challenges that face developers when selecting an infrastructure platform, and a vision for how great products can help
  • Technical Knowledge: the ability to collaborate with engineering teams on a highly technical product, and advocate for a customer base made up of professional developers
  • Data Driven Approach: ability to articulate user hypotheses in terms of objective measures, and project KPI impact of new features
  • Verbal and Written Communication: the ability to lead productive meetings, create effective and useful product documents, on a technically sophisticated product

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years professional experience, including 5 years of product management experience, having managed one entire product development cycle from concept to launch.
  • 2+ years technical experience with all aspects of Cloud Networking technologies including supporting software, firmware, physical devices and Content Delivery Networks (CDN). Specific experience will be part of the interview process.
  • Demonstrated ability to grasp and learn new technologies. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field, such as computer science, engineering or mathematics.
  • Experience with B2C product management is a plus. 
  • Past success in shaping software products with an eye on ease-of-use.
  • Successfully managed a complex Networking or technical product. 
  • MBA is a plus.
