The Platform team creates the technology that enables Spotify to learn quickly and scale easily, enabling rapid growth in our users and our business around the globe. Spanning many disciplines, we work to make the business work; creating the frameworks, capabilities and tools needed to welcome a billion customers. Join us and help to amplify productivity, quality and innovation across Spotify.

At Spotify, we drive product and business change through data, experimentation, and insights. Enabling Spotifiers to easily analyze data and metrics is critical to our success. This role sits within a team that is part of the Learning Infrastructure Studio - Spotify’s division dedicated to creating industry-leading platforms that amplify and accelerate learning from data within Spotify. We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to drive the roadmap and strategic direction for our growing metrics store and semantic layer offerings.

What You'll Do

  • Craft and evolve a product vision, strategy, and roadmap that helps serve data practitioners metrics and modeling needs at Spotify. Develop impactful relationships and feedback loops with this community.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, design, and data science to gather feedback and requirements and better understand the future of the product. Break down work into valuable releases for users and ship software regularly.
  • Help the team define and measure success and impact on different dimensions (product success metrics, OKRs, etc).
  • Collaborate with other product managers and engineering managers in the product area to drive strategy across several teams. Ensure teams innovate and adapt based on changing industry technologies.
  • Drive product initiatives at the team level and beyond.
  • Serve as a product evangelist internally and externally, staying current on industry trends in the space beyond Spotify.

Who You Are

  • You embrace data-informed product development, user-centered design, and agile/lean methodologies. You’re always looking for ways to experiment and test hypotheses.
  • You are highly empathetic and love building experiences that meet user needs.
  • You have experience developing products for data practitioners; experience with building metrics stores or semantic layer offerings is a plus.
  • You demonstrate strong leadership, communication and relationship building skills. Thriving when working cross functionally with team members from engineering, product design, data science, marketing, among others.
  • You seek out responsibility, but are willing to step back and support your team to achieve success. You drive momentum on your team, but you also lead from behind and help others grow and succeed.
  • You have an ability to operate effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in situations of ambiguity, with only high-level direction. You drive initiatives beyond just the scope of your team.
  • You love to help your team prioritize and you are adept at communicating that priority outwards.
