Senior Product Manager - Metrics and Insights team

Full-timeSenior Product Manager$132,000-$184,000*
Sydney, Australia
Please let Atlassian know you found this offer on WeLoveProduct as a way to support us 🫶
Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity, assuming candidates have eligible working rights and a sufficient timezone overlap with their team. As our offices re-open, Atlassians can choose to work remotely or return to an office, unless it’s necessary for the role to be performed in the office. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

With a sufficient timezone overlap with the team, we’re able to hire eligible candidates for this role from any location in Australia and New Zealand. If this sparks your interest, apply today and chat with our friendly Recruitment team further.
Atlassian is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our new Data Initiatives program that will help build the future of Jira Software. We believe that all organisations should have easy access to their data and every team should be inspired to use it to continuously improve their way of working and progress towards shared business goals.
As the newest member of the Metrics and Insights Team, you will help lead the charge on our new Data Initiatives program, driving new features and capabilities that will help us to launch this program into outer space, or more specifically to our customers. Your charter will help to unleash a new wave of team growth through actionable, powerful data and insights for teams at every level of the organisation.

Some of the things you will do:

  • Work closely with customers to identity their needs, short, medium, and long term
  • Work closely in a “product triad” alongside folks from engineering and design
  • Delight users with features that minimize surprises and keep them in the know
  • Delight everyone with features that minimize downtime and maximize speed
  • Release these features on an agile cadence understanding the impact on your team’s goals

More about you:

  • You have a passion for building amazing products that customers love
  • You fall in love more with the customer's problem than with our engineering solution
  • You love talking to customers on a regular basis, the bigger and hairier the better
  • You have a knack for balancing and prioritizing across customers and the business
  • You have great attention to detail and care about small things as much as big things
  • You have great communication skills, both oral and written. You can "own" a room.
  • You have charisma and can influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • You should also love working with data and insights, especially when it helps to unlock the power of team work

On your first day you will have:

  • Solid product management experience in a high growth product organization
  • Demonstrable full lifecycle experience bringing a successful product to market
  • A working knowledge of how to get shit done in a lean, agile environment
  • Experience gathering data and insights from a customer base too large to talk to 1:1
  • Have deep knowledge of agile frameworks - you know the ‘rules’ and the nuance to scrum, kanban and all the flavours in between, as well as the different way to scale. Most importantly though, you how to put data into context for the team and also for stakeholders, supporting processes around continuous improvement.
