About the role:

Our Merchant Reporting & Reconciliations products act as a source of truth for our merchants to understand how Checkout has processed their transactions and how this translates into the payments they receive from us. Reconciliation and transactional analysis processes can be incredibly painful and time consuming for our clients- but it doesn’t need to be.  We provide clients with granular, data-rich tools to make this activity less complex and allow our merchants to focus on what they do best! Each client's needs and processes are different, so providing a good user experience across multiple different user journeys is crucial.

What you'll be doing:

  • Gain a deep understanding of Checkout.com’s customers as well as stay on top of industry trends to create the strategic vision of the product;
  • Defining and building the product roadmap for Checkout’s merchant reporting products, with ownership of the products throughout their entire lifecycle;
  • Translate merchant needs into roadmap deliverables, through close collaboration with your engineering team;
  • Critical metric building - ensure the team are tracking the most important indicators of success, then actively monitoring and optimising them;
  • You’ll be partnering with other product teams, as well with commercial, operations, support, compliance, risk, finance and go to market teams in defining the overall merchant experience related to financial processes and reporting;
  • Ensure your team of two product managers is setup for success, is constantly evolving and uplevelling, and growing into tomorrow’s product leaders at Checkout
  • Over time expand the team’s remit and scope.

About you:

  • 5+ years of hands-on product management experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in creating and executing against a bold product vision informed by customer needs
  • Ability to lead a team, mentor, motivate and develop talent
  • Obsession with customer and user experience as drivers of business valueTrack record of data driven decision making, focusing on business value
  • Ability to build bridges across the organisation with high EQ, superb communication and influencing skills
  • Experience in taking product to market with ability to manage aspects such as compliance and marketing
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand technical challenges and simplify across various stakeholders
  • Understands the FinTech market – preferably Payments
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask and consistently meet tight deadlines
