Working at Atlassian

Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Assuming you have eligible working rights and a sufficient time zone overlap with your team, you can choose to work remotely or return to an office as they reopen (unless it’s necessary for your role to be performed in the office). Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

As we expand our Atlassian footprint in India in mid-2022,We have an office in Bengaluru but as we continue to expand our footprint in India, we can hire eligible candidates remotely anywhere in India.

About Marketplace
The Atlassian Marketplace is a platform for Atlassian customers to discover, try, and buy apps for Atlassian products. You can use apps to customize and extend your Atlassian product. The Marketplace offers apps developed by both Atlassian and third-party developers.
It has been wildly successful: we surpassed $2 billion in lifetime revenue on the Atlassian Marketplace , and Over 70% of Jira Software and Confluence customers use at least one Marketplace app.
We are now moving towards the mission to enable every team to extend Atlassian products to unleash more potential. We are at a very exciting place right now where we are exploring various possibilities of expanding our horizons to think beyond just Marketplace apps to be hosted on our platform.
As a Senior PM on the Marketplace PM team, you will partner with engineering and design to form a triad to inspire and lead your team to success. Your responsibilities will include customer research, building product strategy and roadmap, establishing build-measure-learn loops, and experimentation in production. You will inspire and energize teams across Atlassian to define the vision, evaluate product opportunities, analyze industry trends as well as customer and partner needs, and prioritise features and improvements.

More about you

  • You love working hard to make products as amazing as possible for customers. You have prior success in setting product vision and strategy and launching excellent products. You can lead the team through setting clear goals, making decisions, and communicating crisply to your team, to leaders across Atlassian, and to our customers and partners. You are deeply analytical and have a passion for user experience.

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • Product management experience, ideally at a fast-growing software company (Saas)
  • True obsession for customers – you go out of your way to talk to customers and solve their problems because it’s what gets you out of bed in the morning, even if it means a tough conversation
  • Ability to prioritise opportunities, balance the needs of our customers with those of our business, and clearly communicate the rationale behind your decisions
  • Good instincts matched with deep analytical thinking. You’re comfortable defining and tracking key business and usage success metrics
  • A willingness to wade into the gnarly decisions to help your team get stuff done
  • A track record of building relationships and influencing without authority at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to build a compelling business case for new opportunities

It’s excellent if you have:

  • Experience building B2B SaaS applications/service
