Udemy is looking for a highly cross-functional product manager who cares deeply about internal users, is excited to lead hands-on, Udemy’s product strategy, execution, and translating internal users’ needs and opportunities into a compelling roadmap while working cross-functionally to deliver impactful solutions for team productivity and collaboration. You’ll work directly with engineering, design, user research, and data science, as well as with support teams and cross-functional product leaders to ship great products. You’ll take part in every type of product work here — from strategy to product to process improvements — conceptualizing, launching, and iterating on Udemy’s internal tools, which services millions of learners around the world.

You will help to build a comprehensive internal tools platform to optimize our customer support operations, finance, and sales teams. We power our internal teams through tasks, customer cases, notifications, reporting, and more. It will be your job to think through the automation of these components, build new cross-platform tools, enable building blocks for other product teams to increase their velocity, and always explore build vs. buy solutions to power our internal tools.

This candidate would also be personable, collaborative, and flexible, with the drive to manage complex projects across multiple stakeholder groups. We are seeking a combination of strong technical vision, strategic leverage, team leadership, and high-velocity execution.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Identify scalable solutions to help internal users succeed, while driving a better customer experience from the inside out
  • Simplify, automate, or otherwise improve operational processes through new tooling, first and third-party platform integrations, and architecture improvements driving efficiency for the organization
  • Collaborate with the design team to create prototypes and user interface mockups illustrating user experience and product flows
  • Partner closely with engineering teams throughout the development process to deliver new features
  • Prioritize features and develop appropriate phasing and roll-out plans
  • Define, monitor, and measure product metrics and KPIs, incorporate learnings into product definition and development process
  • Communicate product vision to senior management and various stakeholders

Were’ excited about you because you have:

  • 5+ years of product management experience in building and shipping scaleable integrations and products for internal users
  • Worked effectively with support teams and cross-functional product, design, and engineering leaders to understand internal tools and platforms, making workflows and operations more efficient
  • Influence, you’re good at inspiring and leading teams. You take the time to really understand individuals’ interests and sources of motivation
  • A bias to action, who is able to move projects forward and lead a cross-functional team towards product solutions
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills and ability to interact with diverse groups of technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Exceptional analytical skills, including demonstrated ability to use data analysis and A/B testing to improve customer experiences
  • A good business sense and can see the big picture. You can see how impacting one lever in a complex marketplace affects many others
  • An understanding of how technology can solve customer problems and can engage in the details with the engineering team to find simpler solutions
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and tools
  • Technology savviness and basic understanding of APIs, Integrations, and Front-end Technologies
  • Passion about the education space and the problems we are solving
  • Experience collaborating with local and remote Product and Engineering teams (Turkey, San Francisco, and Ireland)
  • BA / BS required, ideally in a technical field - the important thing is you’re intellectually curious

Nice to haves:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field is ideal
  • Experience with delivering products for two-sided marketplaces/platforms
