What’s the role?

We are looking for a product manager to build app experiences that enable buyers to effectively evaluate items throughout the buyer journey to find the right unique item for their mission.

This Senior Product Manager will be responsible for developing a roadmap of features that guide buyers to refine their options through query guidance, recommendation pathways and cart comparison improvements. This is a full-time position reporting to the Director, Product and the base salary range will be 149,000 - 193,000 USD per year. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. The team focuses on building and iterating on products that make it easier for buyers to evaluate Etsy's vast inventory. Helping nearly 89 million customers make confident purchasing decisions, and bring them back to Etsy more frequently. With over billions items offered by 7.5 million sellers, the group brings value to our buyers, sellers, and Etsy by balancing data, qualitative research, experimentation, and iteration with e-commerce best practices to address exciting challenges posed by operating at scale.

What does the day-to-day look like?

  • Through market and user research, explore, ideate, validate, and build products that ensure our users are inspired to return to shop on Etsy.
  • Crafting a vision, define a roadmap, and prioritize product features via opportunity sizing, continuous iteration and experimentation.
  • Define OKRs and track progress against them regularly, communicate plans and progress to cross-functional partners and leadership, and drive the execution and delivery of our team’s goals.
  • Will work closely with outstanding designers, user researchers, data analysts, engineers, and data scientists to build an immersive and business driving experience for Etsy’s buyers both within your team and with cross functional partners.
  • Own and define/refine the metrics of your team’s products, including impact to our business and our customers.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

  • Experienced at defining product strategies and crafting technical products from inception to launch - especially on mobile - in a fast-paced environment with a cross-functional team, and have an interest in solving challenges in the app space
  • Be a great communicator, both in writing and orally, and a phenomenal listener. Skilled at establishing relationships with product, design, engineering and other team members, developing empathy and trust and influencing without authority.
  • Experience with using qualitative and quantitative data (especially from A/B tests) to make product decisions. You also know when and how to balance data with intuition.
  • Have proficiency in SQL/BigQuery (preferred)
