We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager II to join our growing product team. As a Senior Product Manager II, you’ll have the opportunity to impact the lives of tens of thousands of learners on the Lessonly by Seismic platform. You will solve for multiple user types and be responsible for our content creation tools, our content platform integrations, and the learning experience of end users. You’ll work closely with your engineering, design and product marketing counterparts to identify and understand potential opportunities which will shape the vision and roadmap for the product, while maintaining coordinated oversight of the product delivery lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience in product management for a B2B SaaS software product. This role will report to the Director of Product. 

What you will be doing:

  • Product Discovery
    • Maintain a deep understanding of potential opportunities to identify and recommend long-term strategic direction for a squad’s product vision.
    • Guide engineering efforts towards building the right thing by identifying, communicating the importance of, and prioritizing opportunities.
    • Partner with designers, researchers and discovery engineers to shape potential opportunities and to determine desirability, feasibility and viability.
    • Partner with pre and post-Sales teams as well as Product Marketing to maintain ongoing awareness of customer needs, market trends and competitive landscape. 
  • Delivery Management
    • Responsible for making sure all members of the squad feel connected, informed and supported. 
    • Assist in getting solutions live faster and more predictably, often by removing obstacles that get in the way.
    • Create, groom, and prioritize epics and stories that take into account date-based commitments (if one has been set), stakeholder communication, and squad capacity awareness.
    • Enable squad to properly forecast items such as current/potential capacity, any risk to ongoing projects and confidence in progress against goals.
    • Communicate a clear view of progress that is easy to understand by a wide range of stakeholders. This includes communication of changes (scope, timeline, etc) as effectively and early as possible.
    • Demo functionality at all-team meetings when possible and communicate availability to internal teams.
    • Ensure the success of a monthly product launch in collaboration across multiple departments.
  • Data Analysis
    • Understand the intersection between product usage metrics and business metrics and how to leverage both to make recommendations for the business.
    • Partner with Data Analysts to monitor overall application usage trends, opportunities and insights. 
    • Partner with research and design to gather and study qualitative data (customer feedback, generative research, etc) and work to balance qualitative and quantitative insights in analysis. 
    • Identify insights that can guide recommendations for future product development and empower internal teams to make better recommendations to customers about their training effectiveness programs and utilization of Lessonly tools. 

What you'll bring to the team:

  • 5+ years experience as a Product Manager for a B2B SaaS software product.
  • Proven track record of success working in highly collaborative, cross functional teams to iteratively deliver value to customers via product enhancements and new functionality.
  • Experience with product management methodologies, roadmap management and backlog prioritization. 
  • Ability to translate business and technical information into easy to understand materials for customers and internal teams. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships and expectations, including leading executive presentations and discussions
  • Experience in Education/learning technology and/or content management tools and/or platform integrations is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills allow for clear and consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders. Comfortable presenting to customers as well as in Lessonly all-team settings.
