The Role
This role involves leading Airwallex’s customer proposition for Foreign Exchange (FX) and Digital Assets. Ensuring ease of access for our customers to a wide range of currencies and digital assets is critical to their efforts to build businesses that can scale in any part of the globe.
As a senior product manager you will be responsible for the success of the division by contributing to the product strategy, defining the product roadmap and driving product development. You will work within a strong product and engineering team, and collaborate closely with commercial, legal & compliance, finance & treasury, operations and other functions to deliver commercial value. You will spend most of your day analysing customer needs, designing solutions, crafting the roadmap, optimising user experience and defining business processes.
We look for great people with motivation, creativity and drive to build global financial infrastructure. We also look for the ability of candidates to operate with high levels of autonomy within spaces that can at times be ambiguous.
This role may be based from Singapore, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Sydney or San Francisco and will work closely with a dedicated engineering team in Australia as well as the global product management team of Airwallex.
Responsibilities
1.Define Airwallex’s products, from strategy and solution design to roadmap and delivery plans
2.Collaborate across product domains to drive cross-functional initiatives and leverage all aspects of the Airwallex product suite
3.Collaborate closely with target users, commercial teams, senior leadership, design, go-to-market, and engineering to bring our products to reality.
4.Inform product strategy and approach by deeply understanding our user requirements, target markets, and competitive landscape
5.Iterate quickly on new product launches, feature enhancements, and user feedback
Qualifications
1. You have a bachelor degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline
2. You have experience in product management, software development, management consulting or banking with an outstanding track record of achievements
3. You will have experience in digital assets, FX or other financial markets
4. You have a technical understanding of API based SaaS solutions
5. You are ruthless in prioritisation and focused on building something that customers want
6. You have structured problem-solving skills, ability to move quickly in new domains and a willingness to challenge the status quo
7. You have excellent communication skills in English and can craft great communication material for different audiences (e.g. engineers, customers, internal management)You have experience in analysing customer requirements and writing requirement documentation
8. You have experience working in international teams and startup environment
