The Fulfilment team, which is part of the Core Deliver org, allows merchants to ensure customers can get any items they bought from them seamlessly and efficiently. Fulfilment is critical to merchant success. It not only plays a key role in building trust and loyalty with customers so that they will continue buying, but it is also a complex, expensive and time consuming activity. As merchants grow their business, managing post-sale logistics processes become increasingly harder and require significant investments in both technology and processes. We are on a mission to help merchants meet and exceed buyer expectations by building the best one-stop-shop to help them organise and optimise their fulfilment workflows and capabilities. 

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team as we reimagine how Fulfilment can be simplified and automated while remaining extensible and serving the needs of both our smaller and bigger merchants ranging from dozens to hundreds of thousands of orders per week. We want buyers to be able to have the best delivery experience while helping merchants seamlessly manage their fulfilment needs regardless of their size.

In the Fulfillment team, Senior Product Managers have a passion for working on foundational capabilities of Shopify that millions of merchants and buyers use every day. We work together with UX, Data and Engineering to deliver the best possible experience to merchants and buyers by constantly seeking and identifying the most impactful opportunities that help to automate and streamline the different fulfillment workflows. 

In this role, you will own the order preparation process and will work across several business and technical organizations to break down complex business requirements into manageable products to solve complex technical problems, balance business needs versus technical constraints, and ultimately drive successful product execution in a timely and agile manner. You will have end-to-end ownership of long-term product vision and feature definition and will work closely with different stakeholders to reimagine how fulfillment is done and how we can leverage our data and technology to help merchants succeed and be more efficient. 

The technically strong and passionate person who joins us will be a key member of the Fulfillment team and will play a key role in building Core capabilities that will be used daily by 1M+ merchants from all around the world.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical product management, preferably in the Software industry.

• Experience defining roadmap & strategy, feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.

• Ability to contribute to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to simplify complex concepts and effectively communicate those to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

• Strong technical skills and proven record of managing complex and technically challenging products in a fast paced environment.

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions.

• Proven track record of having shipped impactful and high quality product initiatives.

• Exceptional problem solving skills, high attention to detail, and first principles thinking.

Desired Qualifications

• MBA or Master’s degree.

• Understanding of programming concepts and languages (e.g., Ruby, Python).

• Experience performing data analysis using SQL.

• Previous industry knowledge and hands-on experience in Fulfillment.

• Experience running teams at fast growing companies.
