Product management at Lyft leads the integration of engineering, data science, and design to achieve the company’s vision for reinventing transportation.

We’re looking for a Product leader to drive the product vision and strategy to build the industry’s leading detection and decisioning platform. These capabilities enable trust and safety for all users in the entire Lyft ecosystem, and empower multiple teams to build new products and experiences. This individual is experienced and passionate about building platforms that enable critical use cases and business growth, and can effectively partner with engineers, scientists, analysts and operations. This product manager will bring industry best practices to Lyft and be an evangelist for this platform across the company. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the long-term vision and strategy of our integrity platform, focusing on enabling key use cases, driving impact and balancing technical considerations 
  • Translate customer and internal-user needs into clear, well-defined functional and technical requirements backed by data analysis and deep understanding of the fraud and identity landscape. Execute on the roadmap with proper OKRs and project tracking
  • Build detection signal stack that leverages suite of data sources including core identity data, derived data & linkages and third party data to increase our ability to proactively detect vectors 
  • Develop decisioning and rule engine vision and product plans to drive cross team adoption, loss reduction and operational efficiencies 
  • Communicate roadmaps, priorities and decisions across a wide spectrum of audiences from partner teams to executive levels. Ensure that key leadership & stakeholders are aligned on proper priorities, opportunities and progress on key initiatives
  • Identify partnership opportunities across the company and expand the usage of platform services across the company

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (building technical platforms preferred) 
  • An academic background in Computer Science or related engineering discipline.
  • Enjoys working on deeply technical products, closely collaborating with a passionate engineering team
  • Experience (or deep interest) in working in the trust and safety space  
  • Past experience building and scaling platform products that drive scale across multiple teams 
  • History of effectively working with multiple teams to build new capability and implement projects
  • Confident in decision-making, providing concise, clear, direct communication
  • Excellent written and communication skills especially to senior executives
  • Detail oriented with superior organizational skills -- balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests should be second nature to you

Starting in September 2023, this role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.
