About the role
As a senior product manager within OpsTech, you will conceptualize, build, launch and iterate on a product vision, strategy and roadmap for maximizing our Operational productivity. The ability of optimizing operational workflows across the shipment lifecycle at scale is a key competitive driver in the FreightForwarding industry. Here at Forto we are at the forefront of solving this challenge by deploying the latest Tech, from leveraging LLM AI models to building our proprietary solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the business teams (Operations, Finance, Accounting, etc.) and downstream Product teams to establish product vision, strategy and roadmap.
- Be the expert in knowing who your customer is and what problems you are solving for, always taking decisions in favor of the customer
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and launch innovative solutions. Being excellent at change management is key.
- Work with our Data Science team and explore opportunities to deliver superior productivity
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Prioritise product initiatives effectively in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Lead requirement gathering efforts, through consulting stakeholders and analysing relevant data sources
- Define and track key metrics to measure product success and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
- Think creatively and solve interesting problems in a fast-paced environment
- Embrace challenges, persist and learn through support and feedback
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 4+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of successful feature/product delivery from start to finish.
- Experience with AI implementations (LLM, ML, OCR, etc)
- Enthusiasm and leadership skills with the ability to influence across the organisation. Ability to push back or challenge stakeholders in the organisation while maintaining great relationships.
- Solid experience in working with operation and business teams. You are familiar with process optimization approaches and know how to drive change management initiatives across the organisation.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail. Ability to ramp up quickly and become an expert across our business.
- Proven self-starter who can identify new opportunities, develop strategies to drive growth, and push projects forward, as well as a desire to push innovation
- Strong communication skills and intuition for communication strategy at every level -- within teams, within the company, to customers, and other audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain management
