Who Are We
Postman is the world’s leading API platform, used by more than 30 million developers and 500,000 organizations, including 98% of the Fortune 500. Postman is helping developers and professionals across the globe build the API-first world by simplifying each step of the API lifecycle and streamlining collaboration—enabling users to create better APIs, faster.
We recommend reading The "API-First World" graphic novel to understand the bigger picture and our vision at Postman.
The Opportunity
As a Product Manager for Postman Flows, this person will be pivotal in scaling the product to $10-100M in revenue, by enhancing its capabilities and broadening its adoption. The goals are to strategically attract more users to Flows from the existing Postman user base, and to expand our reach into new segments of the market.
This person’s primary responsibilities include
-
Customer Acquisition: Develop strategies to increase the number of people using Flows, ensuring that Flows meet their needs and drive significant value to their API strategies (demonstration), as well as API automations and integrations. The latter two are important as we look to shift from per-user monetization to consumption based pricing.
-
Revenue Expansion: Identify and implement opportunities for monetization from our free tier users, ensuring that the expansion of product features aligns with customer willingness to pay. Identify cross-sell and enterprise monetization strategies.
-
Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with PAN, Postbot, BizOps, and Marketing to ensure a cohesive execution strategy that aligns with Postman’s global business goals.
-
Analytics and Feedback Loops: Leverage data to drive product direction and improvements, ensuring that features are serving to the needs of both new and existing users.
This person must be able to deal with ambiguity, be deeply technical, have a proven track record of driving growth, partner well, and be familiar with cloud-based / SaaS monetization strategies. I expect this person to be a hands-on PM, used to doing dirty work/whatever it takes to succeed. While they’ll have no direct reports, they are expected to work directly with and mentor designers and engineers they work with on the team.
