Senior Product Manager - Finance

As a fintech moving billions of GBP of customer money in more than 70 countries, Wise must have bulletproof financials. 

We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our fast growing Product Financials team in London. Wise is rapidly expanding globally, creating new products to consumers and businesses, and entering new jurisdictions. 

This is a unique opportunity to lead a crucial part of Product Financials, empowering Wise product launches in being represented financially and ensuring teams across Wise can make timely, accurate and sustainable business decisions based on a global set of financials.

Your mission:

• The Finance-Product Onboarding team ensures that anything happening in Wise that has a financial impact is integrated into our financial systems and is properly recorded and controlled. This requires easily switching between your Product Management and Financial hats.
• Lead collaboration between strategy, technical delivery and accounting leads to understand how new and existing products can translate into compliant financials. This involves planning with product managers, engineers, analysts and operations specialists to onboard all new Wise products, regions and entities to our systems.
• Work with internal finance stakeholders, such as Accounting, Tax, Reporting and Financial Planning & Analysis to envision clean, accurate and compliant financials in all our entities worldwide in a timely manner.
• Understand the why and how of Wise products and their financials so you can communicate the Wise story to anyone. This could include explaining complex technicalities to finance stakeholders, and financials to other product managers.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

• Work in a highly international Product Financials team and drive financial sustainability for products of a fast growing fintech
• Participate in building of a high data volume real time Financial product (system), empowering business decisions across teams every day
• Work closely with various Product managers across different regions in Wise and collaborate to ensure all products are financially compliant

You have proven experience in the following areas:

• Empowering cross functional teams with a vision and strategy for non-customer facing teams 
• Managing the product development lifecycle from scoping to delivery and post production support for multiple products / projects at the same time
• SQL and communicating big data / complex datasets clearly
• Agile software development methodologies and tools
• Communication with stakeholders of different levels
• Building product roadmaps or managing quarterly plans 

Nice to Haves:

• Principles of accounting & financials
• Setting up KPI’s/OKR’s for the team/area
• Working with business analytics tools (e.g. Looker)
• You are thirsty for knowledge in building multi service high volume fintech systems and in understanding reasons for having timely, accurate, compliant and sustainable financials.
• Technical know-how. You may have started out your career as an engineer or maybe it's a secret passion. You need to be able to communicate effectively with our product engineers, accountants and other finance professionals.
