About the Role
The mission of the Communities product team is to inspire outdoor enthusiasts to connect through shared interests. We strive to create meaningful social connections that inspire, motivate, and spark joy. The Feed team helps users share and celebrate moments with each other. This team is responsible for developing and fostering meaningful social interactions in feed through features such as comments, reactions, share, notifications, and the feed algorithm.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Partnering with a cross-functional team to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Feed team
- Leading the team through the Product Development Lifecycle, including the discovery, product definition and planning, design, development, and launch and learn phases
- Identifying hypotheses and running experiments to test, learn, and scale products that grow engagement in feed.
- Evangelizing the needs of our customers, leveraging quantitative and qualitative data
- Prioritizing and manage backlogs, communicating tradeoffs and aligning cross functional partners and business stakeholders
- Communicating progress against objectives and key results, making recommendations to pivot or change course as needed
- Collaborating closely with other Product Manager’s within the Communities team to ensure open communication and alignment to the broader Communities team mission
Requirements:
- 5+ years of product management experience and have successfully shipped high impact social and community features at scale.
- You know how to leverage quantitative and qualitative data to guide your strategy and create a compelling narrative.
- You care deeply about users and seek to understand their problems, needs, and desires.
- You thrive on collaboration and you know how to rally and align your team.
- Your communication skills are on point and you feel comfortable regularly presenting, keeping peers and stakeholders informed, and jumping into Slack threads as needed.
- You are a resourceful, self-starter with a bias toward action. You feel comfortable digging into an unknown problem space to better understand it and putting together a plan to execute.
- You bring humility, empathy, and desire to learn. No jerks or egos. We mean it.
