About the role:

Our Enterprise Management & Business System (EMBS) team provides the infrastructure and interface for Samsara customer admins to successfully deploy Samsara within enterprise-scale organizations, and to streamline the process of doing business with Samsara. As part of our Core Feature & Monetization Platform they’re charged with:

  • Ensuring that our customers can rely on our dashboards to be accurate & intuitive, driving high standards for operational excellence. 
  • Developing the strategy and execution plan to monetize EMBS platform features.
  • Interacting regularly with customers to receive/provide feedback loops on critical feature development and enhancements.
  • Own development and execution of the EMBS product roadmap in partnership with engineering.
  • Partnering with various teams involved in Q2C to deliver on enterprise customer priorities within the product experience.
  • Align internal stakeholders with project definition of success. 

As a Senior Product Manager you’ll play a critical role by partnering with engineering, design, product, GTM and Q2C leaders at Samsara to drive these areas forward.

In this role, you will:

  • Articulate our business & customer priorities related to Enterprise Management & Business Systems. Work with engineering to set measurable goals & define a roadmap to deliver on them.
  • Establish a long term monetization strategy for the features in your area of ownership.
  • Interface with customers to ensure that we reach the outcomes required for their ultimate success. Define product requirements for user-facing capabilities, and serve as the ‘voice of the customer’ in trade-off discussions & decision-making forums.
  • Partner with Product, GTM and back office teams to align priorities and dependencies.
  • Working with design and engineering, provide an enhanced customer experience for customers to manage their data.   
  • Actively remove roadblocks so your project(s) are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to improve the practice of product management at Samsara, in particular, championing operational excellence.
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 5+ years in a product management role, with a deep understanding of how Enterprise customers fit into the Q2C process.
  • Strong credibility with engineers and ability to understand system dependencies.
  • Experience working in a customer-focused environment and ability to establish trust & credibility with customers.
  • A proven track-record of delivering outstanding results for customers & the business, managing significant complexity & aggressive timelines. You also have a bias-to-action and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty.
  • Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills. Must be comfortable presenting to customers, executives, internal audiences, auditors, etc. and cater your comms based on your audience.

An ideal candidate also has:

  • In-depth knowledge of best-practices regarding Q2C and setting Enterprise customers up for success, gleaned from experience operating within a large-scale software development organization.
