As Senior Product Manager for editorial products, you’ll work closely with the Newsroom to build an unrivalled and essential experience for our audiences, powered by editorial tooling.
This role is an equal partner with editors, solving problems together. It will require strong skills in strategic thinking, focus and prioritisation, and communication. Diplomacy is key. The Senior Product Manager will also need to keep journalistic ethics and priorities in mind at all times, especially when approaching work using AI.
We are looking for a strategic thinker capable of building strong relationships to deeply understand the problems the newsroom is trying to solve and get things done. You are skilled at turning complex problems into clear delivery plans and executing with pace. You are deeply conversant with the latest developments in technology, including AI, and are able to find the signal in the noise. You’re excited and optimistic about what technology can achieve while acutely aware of its risks. You are capable of keeping ethics at the centre of your product development approach and leading the market in defining what good looks like.
You will bind people together with a clear vision across disciplines to super-charge our delivery and seek new opportunities for innovation. With such a large team with a wide scope, you will line manage and develop another Product Manager (mid-level).
General experience
You will need to be an experienced Product Manager with a consistent track record of thriving in a content-led environment, ideally with experience of partnering with editorial.
