Senior Product Manager, Developer Solutions

We are looking for a passionate, results-oriented, and motivated product management leader to work tactically on a small, focused team tasked with providing go-forward solutions to unlock new opportunities for our customers. Reporting to the Director of Developer Solutions, this role works very closely with a small cross-functional team including Product Design and Product Engineering.

Our mission in Developer Solutions is to simplify a builder’s journey by connecting them to compelling and consumable solutions that are manageable, operable, and the right solution at the right time.  We deliver solutions to enable an optimal, select customer segment who find our solutions to be market competitive as they grow in scale and complexity as part of their builder journey.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Own delivery of the pricing and packaging recommendations for net new GTM opportunities within the Developer Solutions business unit in the Product organization.
• Develop and model business cases, including financial models, for new products and features.
• Contribute to the development of multiple go-forward plans - working in tandem with Senior Product Designers and Senior Engineers.
• Providing a strong opinion on build-buy-partner decisions, backed by cost-benefit analyses. 
• Working closely with potential and existing product partners to do discovery work to find novel solutions for underserved customers on our platform.
• Connecting with multiple business units and product groups within DO to influence product improvements oriented to providing additional DO Simple solutions to increase meeting customer jobs to be done.
• Drive a high-performance culture within your team that iterates frequently and learns continuously without sacrificing product quality.

What You'll Add to DigitalOcean:

• Demonstrated prior product management experience, having participated in the product development cycle of new products.
• Professional experience working in an exploratory or R&D environment. 
• Ability to grasp and learn new technologies, able to understand complex and technical user problems, and propose simple and clean solutions. 
• Experience creating customer-focused products, such as databases, tools, or platforms. 
• History working with industry partners - from originating partnerships to lifecycle managing them.
• Clear, simple, and powerful communication, both orally and written.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with business-to-consumer product management is a plus. 
• Established rapport with engineers in their own language to come to the best solution from the beginning (hobby or professional coding experience in any language is a plus).
• Past success in shaping software products with an eye on ease of use.
• Successfully managed a complex technical product. 
• You work well within a team. You're opinionated yet humble and always looking to grow.
• The ability to dive into a technical area, deliver what defines done, and move on to a distinct new technical area.
• Ability to excel in a distributed workplace environment - connecting with the right folks and collaborating asynchronously where appropriate.
• You are eligible to work in US/CA/UK/NL/DE/IN - we have Sharks all over the globe and can employ you if you reside in one of these countries.

*Salary range of $120,000 - $180,000
