Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Senior Product Manager, Data Integrations Platform to join our Product team.

Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.

About the role

Oscar Product is a growing, fast-paced team using technology and design to revolutionize healthcare. As a Product Manager, you'll play a key role in helping Oscar solve problems and accelerating your team's execution. In this role, you'll join our Enrollment Tech product team to lead Enrollment Experience. You'll have the opportunity to drive investments in a variety of enrollment-related areas: building innovative experiences, optimizing operational processes and tools, growth/expansion and more.

As a Senior Product Manager, your primary focus will be on evolving and refining our strategy to ensure optimal integration, analytics, and technology operations for the data integrations pod. This involves shaping our integration strategy, managing two product managers, and refining the tech operating model to streamline data exchange. By constantly improving these aspects, we aim to develop a robust data platform product as part of our +Oscar offering and effectively collaborate with partners to enhance member care and minimize friction. In this role, you will closely collaborate with existing engineering teams to implement and iterate on these strategies.

You will report to the Vice President, Product.

This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Note, this list of states is subject to change. #LI-Remote

The base pay for this role is $144,000 - $189,000. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Define the vision, strategy and roadmap for our data integration platform, aligning the roadmap with the needs of our business and SaaS customers, while anticipating future demands. This involves delivering data sharing solutions for providers to strengthen value-based contracting, and expanding our analytics platform, customized specifically for our +Oscar clients.
  • Manage and guide two product managers through the strategic evolution and tactical implementation of the Data Integration roadmap. Collaborate closely with technical leadership and other internal stakeholders to devise scalable, customizable data solutions.
  • Utilize market intelligence to standardize integration offerings and specifications. Join forces with the data science team to facilitate our Looker migration and construct solutions addressing reporting needs of our external users. Extract insights from data and research to pinpoint potential enhancements and solutions.
  • Own the data platform roadmap, providing critical input for future investment decisions.
  • Monitor project outcomes, ensuring smooth progression across multiple Oscar stakeholders, while balancing trade-offs among speed, scalability, simplicity, and quality.
  • Represent the Data Integrations team in interactions with high-priority clients and partners, underscoring our commitment to effective data solutions.

Qualifications

  • Experienced. You have worked directly with engineers in product management roles for 4+ years and managed direct reports for 1+ years.
  • Client-focused. You have experience interacting with external clients and are comfortable managing client requests, expectations, and relationships. Experience managing highly strategic relationships with third party vendors.
  • Comfortable with complex systems. Prior experience analyzing and decomposing a complex system and communicating that complexity simply and cleanly.
  • Prior experience thinking creatively about how to get the information you need to prove or disprove your hypothesis using user research or data.
  • SQL proficiency required.

Bonus Points

  • Previous domain experience in data integrations and/or API systems and frameworks.
  • Previous experience designing robust data models and creating service layers to support feature-full applications.
