The Experience team is looking for a highly motivated Senior Product Manager to join in our mission to create deep engagement with travelers as they plan their trip. Ideal candidates for this role will have a passion for travel, a desire to identify, measure, and solve user pain points with creative solutions, and an unrelenting enthusiasm for implementing user-focused features that drive customer loyalty and bottom line growth. You’ll work with our Machine Learning, Data Science, and Engineering teams to build solutions that make the trip planning and trip discovery process easy, intuitive and fun for the Tripadvisor user. You’ll also help push towards a modern, flexible personalization platform that can be leveraged across the Trip Advisor ecosystem.
The role will be located in our Needham, MA office with eligibility for remote work. As a part of the team, you’ll be surrounded by talented, passionate, and fun folks who are all eagerly working together to create a delightful and assistive experience for all types of travelers.
What you’ll do:
As the owner of your product, you’ll wear any and all hats necessary to make your product the best possible. You’ll own the feature & platform roadmap, performance measurement & testing, user research, make informed tactical decisions and communicate your vision and progress to your stakeholders
Create detailed specifications for your new product ideas and supervise the creation, testing, and roll out plans
Communicate and build internal alignment around your product roadmap
Own product discoverability thinking about how we can ensure more TA consumers see and find the great products we have to offer
Focus is on the Experiences business with an emphasis on driving conversion on bookable products and things to do
Lead a cross-functional team of analysts, researchers, data scientists and engineers to build and deliver platforms and features that impacts millions of users
Recognize areas of opportunity to help raise awareness of Experience products within the Tripadvisor ecosystem
Collaborate with other product managers, analysts, and design teams to ensure your roadmap fits with our Tripadvisor user’s expectations
Reports to the Experiences Director of Product and will be on a team of 3+ product managers
What we’re looking for:
BA/BS degree
7+ years of product experience, preferably in a technical, data science heavy online problem space
4+ years of e-commerce experience; knowledgeable about what information and UX is important to drive financial success
Someone who can drive a roadmap and stay focused on delivering results; ruthlessly prioritize feature work and team resources
Strong understanding of A/B testing methodology and experience running tests
Outstanding organizational and communication skills
Goal oriented and has demonstrated a record of success in previous endeavors; motivated to deliver exceptional results, driven by a strong work ethic
Can acknowledge mistakes when relevant, learn from those mistakes and move forward productively
Self-motivated worker with entrepreneurial passion. Proven creative problem-solving and innovative mindset
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are essential
